I got my tude order in 12 days door to door (NE USA). I tried germing an mk ultra single, a skywalker kush single and two moonshine haze. The mk burst out of it's shell and in 24 hours she was above ground. The two moonshines are also off to a fast, strong start. The moonshine seeds were big and beefy. One was a little green so I was kind of nervous about that seed but they both have germed nicely. Now on to the skywalker. This seed never had a chance. It did crack, however the seed didn't have enough internal energy to actually sprout so it ended up being a dud. So here's my question. The seed was a single pick and mix from the tude. Going on the fact that my germing is pretty dialed in, do you feel I feel should get a replacement seed?

Yeah, this is why I don't think single seeds are really the best way to go about buyin a strain. Chances are it was just a lethal recessive. At 20 bucks though, jesus fucking christ. You should definitely get a replacement or 5.... just my opinion (I realize Attitude has little say over breeder prices).

Pick n mix isn't a bad way to try a lot of different strains to find out what you like. I didn't know a lot about the different kinds of weed when I first started growing, and most dealers would just call what they were selling whatever was popular at the time, so I had no idea what was what. I mostly just buy packs of regs now and make my own f2s, but every once in a while I will pick up something from the pick n mix if I am curious and it is cheap.

Soma Somango, for instance, sounded [and is] like great smoke, but I'd certainly not throw $280 at a 10 pack. $29 for a single is an expensive bean, but $29 is still just $29, making it a gamble I could shrug off if the plant had been a disppointment.
That's factually not true.
If you buy a 5 pack for a c-note [ $100] and lose one, you've suffered a $20 loss, same as losing a single $20 bean, Sure you have 4 more beans, but you also spent $20 each on them, or, $80 more than the guy that had a single go belly up.

If you compare the single seed price vs the package price there is a difference. Otherwise you have to buy a 10 pack and most seeds don't go too far over 10 bucks a seed at that price. So yes it is indeed true.

No. It's not significant anywhere but Herbies. I picked this example from TSSC totally at random:

The five pack is 2 cents less than 5 at single prices. In other words, not worth the extra expenditure of $96.00 for a 'sample'.

Right, anyone who has looked over the seed list knows CG, CC, DNA don't really fit that description.
The Single Seed Center has the best prices for pick'n'mix too.
