I have an update.
Bringing that fucking deserter back here is so far Obamas biggest mistake. We should of found out where he was being held and bombed it when we had the chance

Yep his former unit members have gone on the record and stated as much. Download the interview at itunes for free.

At the very least he is guilty of unauthorized absence (UA) or absence without leave (AWOL) under article 86 of the uniform code of military justice

This is not in contention but an established fact and Bergdahl is guilty of the above. Due to his apparent time spent as a POW he will NEVER be court marshaled.

well when you think about it..he did spend 5 years with them..enough punishment for anyone, i would think.

based upon what ive read, heard and then put in harry potters sorting hat..he was not a fit for combat. period. got kicked lose from his last..shouldn't that have been a red flag to the army? one would think. they don't give a shit..just another warm body to shoot a gun.

EDIT: that would be my defense..should have never been recruited..his mental illness(es) were pretty transparent..i'd sue the army.

He deserted his post, made a clear and concise decision to leave base and seek out the shelter of the enemy.

Sue the army for a shitty decision on his behalf? You can't use mental illness top mask your conscientious objections or desires to aid the enemy.
