Indoor grow in fox farm ocean forest with probably 35% perlite.
CFL's and two LED spots around 400ish watt total.
I use a trio of fox farm nutrients. Grow big, Big bloom & Tiger bloom. I also did one flush with Sledgehammer before flowering.
Right now it is in the beginning of the second week of flowering and growth has slowed and just not looking healthy. My other plant is looking much better and fuller. First grow, both from found seed..
I was first using R/O water and I was messing up the PH big time because I was using a cheap PH probe and I thought my PH was too high. Now I have a calibrated PH pen and I have a much better idea of what I am putting in. I switched to tap water that I let stand over night, but after reading about Chloramine and Fluoride in Los Angeles water I gave up on that. Now I buy Arrowhead spring water. It more $ of course but at least its clean and retains some of the minerals the plants need. I assumed I had a magnesium def, so last water I added a bit of epsom salts. Now, I am thinking it might just be lacking nitrogen.
The shriveled brown leaves in the center of the plant are from my LED spot that I had much too close to the plant. I didn't realize that LEDs can burn. It is all a big learning curve...but lots of fun.
Oh, I also did a bit of pruning a week before flowering. Mainly some fan leaves around the bottom of the plant that were touching the soil etc. I later read that that might not have been a good idea. But then again, I also just read some defoliation journals so who knows. There is almost too much info out there!
I hope some of the experts out there can give me a bit of advise.
Thank you and happy growing!!
