I forgot to turn on my fan yesterday and when I got home from work, there was a small amount of white stuff on the surface of the soil. Can anyone tell me what it is? Looks almost like powder. It's not on the plant, just the surface of the soil. I'm so close to harvest and don't want to do anything that'll hurt my girl. Please Help!!!!!!!
Sounds like powder mold

What should I do? I'm a newbie and this is the first time I've seen this through the entire grow.
Never had that issue but id say scoop it out very carefully and maybe spray ur lady and soil down wit some neem oil, just try not to spray the buds. Hopefully someone who has delt with this issue before could chime in and bestow some wisdom upon us.

I have read here in more than once that powder mold can be attacked the H202 (diluted maybe) with a spray bottle. Search on it here. Don't think Neem oil is the deal for this.

Can you get us a picture? Check your stems too, not just the leaves / buds. PM can start growing up the stem, n often attacks the lower / less healthy leaves first and works it's way up the plant quickly (from what I've read...). Hopefully it's not PM. Someone mentioned a neem oil soil drench in another thread, might be worth looking in to. Spraying neem near your flowering plants isn't something I'd do personally, but the soil drench could help if it's not actually on your plants yet and just on the soil.

Just in case here's some good info on Powdery Mildew (it's for 'vegetables' but still good info): http://www.ipm.ucdavis.edu/PMG/PESTNOTES/pn7406.html

Powdery mildew grows on your plants, not on your soil. A little white fungus on your soil is usually a sign of good soil and nothing to worry about. There is a shitload of fungus in soil, mostly invisible to the naked eye. Just pulled up some of my bark mulch tonight and was checking out the myco fungi attached in a silk web to my roots...beautiful!

Just harvested my first plant ever :o

Here's one of the colas ...not winning any awards but I'm happy lol:Main Cola.jpg

Letting the bigger one go for another week...can't believe these fuckers started putting out amber trichs this early. It's advertised as 65 days from seed, but I thought that was some gimmicky shit. Just blows my mind that I'm harvesting a less than 2 month old plant. Autos ftw.

What kind of soil and nutes did you use? She looks great.

I sprayed the top layer of the soil with a diluted h202 mix. Will that harm her? I used 2 caps of h202 per 26oz of water.
