Cannabis for pets anybody?

So ive been looking into more natural homeopathic ways to help my dog and have found a couple companys (canna-pet) and others that are making treats and pills for relief and many health benifits. I have a 14 yr. old dog thats getting slower and looks like hes in pain at times. But the cost for these pills would be out of control, like 60 bucks a month. So is there any one out there with experience making things for dogs? Not looking to hear stories about getting your pet high just cause you think its funny. Im not looking for blow smoke in there face, or let them eat your stash or any thing like that. Thanks in advice

I know hes going to die, thats life but doesn't mean he cant feel good and not be in pain tell that time comes. Hes not on his death bed or anything hes just old and slow why not help him out? If you see some old guy walking down the street and face plant next to you would you help him up or just walk by and say that sucks its life dude?

Wasn't trying to be a dick dude, I just don't think every issue needs to be treated with weed, that's all.

I'd help the old bastard up, of course, but again I don't think the answer to him falling down is a bong hit.

LOL i get it. but at the same time its really no different then medical weed for people, its not about getting high its more about finding solutions to the big box over the counter drugs that are harmful. If you look at a little research about it, its more about the plant and the cbd in cannabis not the thc high, so anti psychoactive no different then when medical patients pushed for legal weed, was about quality of life not all about getting high.
Didnt think you where being a dick just know must people arent going to get it, and think its all about getting high or that my dog is dying. Maybe a pot growing forum is a bad place to ask a ? like that. all good man

My buddies dog has cancerous tumors all over her. She got so bad he decided to mix some hash into her wet food. Last time seen the dog, she gained weight , had chinese glossy eyes and was sooo happy running around playing. THis was only a couple months after giving it too her on a daily basis. Vet said she wouldnt make it too much longer, but shes doing great. Vet is stumped, my buddy is afraid to tell the vet he gives her weed in her food. lol

Unlike humans, the digestive system of a dog can partially break down cell walls (despite what you may have read on fancy dog food websites). This means they can get high from just eating weed without extracting or decarb or any of that stuff. Many dogs will eat ground up bud. If you want, you can melt some cheese onto a TINY bit of a ground up bud and your dog will love you. Start with small amounts first. REALLY small amounts. Like a tiny pinch or less.

Even though I've been smoking for years I never gave my old German shepherd any marijuana. He already had pills from the vet. I did something quite different though. I took him to a healer, a very well known animal one. My poor dog, he used to weakly limp in there and walk out like a different dog 20 mins later. Sessions were once a week. I put him down at 12 yrs old when he started losing control in the house.

2 1/2 years ago my 6 year old Shar Pei Molly started having seizers. An MRI showed a brain tumor. She was given 6months to live with Chemo. We started the Chemo & I also made up some RSO with keif & Everclear & rice oil. I put a little rice sized piece on her food each night. If she does feel the high, she sleeps right thru it. Her vet is amazed each month when I bring her back in for Chemo. The vet told me the longest she had ever seen go on Chemo was 9-10months........we are 29months and counting.......Cannabis saved Molly.....

Get him on some CBD dominant strain and really watch how much weed you give him. Edibles aren't a good idea for a dog, better to feed him small amounts of bud instead.

You can actually put dogs on human vitamins, I've got some old guys here that are on;

Glucosamine Tablets @ 1500mg - Give once every two days (750mg p/day)

Fish Oil Tablets @ 1000mg - Give once every two days (500mg p/day)

Vitamin E Tablets @ 250mg - Give once, three times per week.

This helps with the joints, arthritis and old age. If you can get him swimming that would help him.

You can never go wrong making your best bud and ailing friend more comfortable. Makes sense that it would be effective for animals....makes us feel good and does no harm - that's the key. I would just start slow and watch reactions.
