Just wondering what you do during flowering, some let nature take its course others swear removing them is a benefit. The opinions about about 60/40 in going au natural, what do you guys do?

I pick 'em off when they are shriveled and brown. Sometimes a bit before, as I don't want dead leaf matter in my pots. But I don't denude my gals. I let nature take its course. Defoliating is a technique, just like any other. Some use it, many don't. Totally up to you. Bear in mind that those big ass fan leaves collect lots of energy for the plant. That may help in your decision

Good Luck :peace:

I guess we'll just have to agree to agree and disagree and disagree. I agree cannabis plants do not need leaves, especially outdoors where there is plenty of sun light. Leaves are just an artifact of mistakes in thousands of years of evolution. We grow bud, not leaves. But if you flush for 2 months you cannot give PK boosters for the last 3 months so I disagree with you on that. I also disagree on who is obviously not able to recognize sarcasm, even when it's so obvious. Scumbag.

I like to remove the largest fan leaves while they're still a nice, healthy green. It makes it easier to fashion them into decorative loin cloths and codpieces without them falling apart. You haven't truly experienced gardening until you've done it in nothing but nature's undergarments.

Dude Trust me leave the majority of the leaves there until right before harvest. Trim the dead leaves off as they come and small undergrowth if you must but other than that leave her be!

LOL, surely there's no way he takes the majority of the above advice, it was all sarcasm

Now you've gone and hurt my feelings. PK boosters are only used for ruderalis, those things will kill an Indica is less than 72 hours. However, Miracle Grow for tomatoes works wonders if used at double strength. Idiota.

That may be true but this is the outdoor forum and everyone knows you cannot grow indicas outdoors, only ruderalis and sativas. Sativas can take PK for 3 months just as well, just have to add N. Nutter.

Thats right, I plumb forgot about the ancients and their awesome indoor grow setups creating the indicas. I really should read up on that history. Butter.

Those ancients grew landrace indicas which just as the incas no longer exist. Come on, you know that especially indicas don't need defoliation so he's clearly talking about ruderalis or sativas which tend to be extremely leafy that should all be removed. Dimwit.
