3rd grow underway...one question

Just harvested my 2nd grow and got about an ounce with one plant. First grow was unsuccessful. Definitely had some issues that I will correct this time around. This round hoping for 2+ ounces and about 2-3 weeks less time. Between over watering, drainage issues, and fertilizer issues, I really fucked with my plants aura lol.

This round Im going with 90/10 of perlite/vermiculite. I will ph the water to 5.8-6.0 and will be going with Dyna gro folliage pro.

Question:

1. What amount and frequency should I feed the plant? I saw a chart online but people were bashing it for various reasons. I dont get the added benefit of the nutrients with soil so I want to make sure Im following proper amounts for a soiless medium.

I don't know if this is a dumb question, but can you really grow a plant in perlite start to finish?

Op...I'm guessing you are growing a hempy style being perlite/vermiculite.

My rule of thumb is allow the medium to go bone dry before watering.....you can water/feed everyday if you wish but this is not advantageous

by allowing it to go bone-dry, it will draw the oxygen into the roots which will help the plant flourish

I would recommend keeping your grows very simple. Dont try to get in over your head at first. I would start with soil bc its more forgiving and you can fix problems a bit easier in soil. Once you have a good concept of it all then try your luck at something more advanced

@Diabolical666 I hear you on the soil part but I didnt like not knowing exactly what the ph was. Im hoping this route would be easier in that aspect. I do know I will have to be more careful with the nutrients and what not though.

@Indoor Sun King No drip system. Thats why Im using the vermiculite to hold some of the water. Should have the same qualities of soil without the issues with figuring out the ph.

one variation of growing this way is called Dutch Bucket technique. google or youtube it, supposed to be a easy hydro system capable of 100+ plants.

vermiculite or cat litter absorbs way too much nutes
to be of any consideration in growing cannabis,(IMHO)
the perlite helps to reduce the effects,
your first grow was unsuccessful what makes you think
this is gonna be any better
time here would be best spent on studying
conventional means for an assured yield
