One of the plants i got outside in the woods has a small antpile right at the stem and i think theyre already in it deep and eating the roots. The stem is about as thick as my middle finger and it has gone from stiff to real weak the plant is doing worse than my others. What should i do they killing it fast i heard mothballs works but its raining today they might dissolve a lil n harm the plant and its about to start budding

I use cinnamon tea. Spray the plant with it and water into the soil. Put a ring of ground cinnamon around the stocks of each plant once a week to prevent them from crossing. Works 100% IME, but if they are on the plant and you put a ring around it then they won't leave either so you gotta get em out then put up the defense

Diatomaceous will work, if it stays dry. Rain will wash Diatomaceous away.

What you should be asking yourself is why the ants are there? Ants typically stay away from cannabis. My guess is that the plants are farming root aphids. You should dig up some of the dirt, and inspect the roots.

Moth balls work well - only need 2-4 balls around area - don't over do it, the "balls" will also keep evey thing else away (critters) from it except - human - don't know want to do about that issue
