My window unit had minor leaks as well. Opened the case and a little foil tape was all it needed. The styrofoam they use to partition off the sections aren't always a perfect fit.

we have had high temperatures that stayed in the negatives before. all it takes is a good run of days like that and my crop would be dead.

hence why i am going fully insulated with a dedicated heater/AC for precise temp control.

the crops always turn out better when you get to decide the exact temps they enjoy during both the day AND the night.

I wouldnt be Uncle Buck for a million bucks... Seriously...

I would go closed circuit with CO2 and a cooltube setup to utilize the normally cool temperatures. Put in a mini-split for the summer time but I dont think you would need it in the winter. You might need a heater but you can buy good portable units cheap. I dont think it would run much other than maybe when the lights/ CO2 were not on. I would go with a CO2 generator.
