More Good News About Mother Earth

I am sure some will say, this isn't a valid news agency putting out this story....

http://www.bbc.com/news/science-environment-29152028

The ozone layer that shields the earth from cancer-causing ultraviolet rays is showing early signs of thickening after years of depletion, a UN study says.
So... the Ozone Layer is thickening....

Wow... That's really good news....

Well, let me preface that with: I am sure some here on this site will say that it is not good news... because news about the environment must be all bad.... it just must be...
Take that.... More feel good environment news...
Gotta love it....Have a great day...
Unless you are angry and want the Earth to keep going bad....
Then you, read the facts twice... or quote some two year out of date data that leans towards your angry pointless view.... You always do....

all ozone depleting CFC's were banned from all aerosol cans in 1978 in the USA.

before 80's hair.

Well damn, can we blame that awful hair anyway? What if there was a consensus?
see, you claim to be a proponent of human caused global warming, but here you are clearly mocking the fact that the vast, overwhelming majority of climatologists are proponents of human caused global warming.

wanna try to explain your way out of that one?

I'm mocking consensus used as proof. I've seen enough data to draw my own conclusions. I'm admittedly biases against pollution so I'm pre-disposed to thinking it's harmful. Us tree huggers get that way.

What I won't do though, is accept scientific proof is up for a vote.

there is no such thing as scientific proof, only evidence.

and the evidence is overwhelming.
You just go along because all the media tells you to. I mean I doubt you ever once looked into global warming or what it was about until someone here made you defend your arguments (poorly I might add).

it's not the media, it's peer reviewed publishing climatologists. are you stupid or something? just a retarded conspiracy theorist? you think the US government was behind 9/11 somehow, tin foil guy?

From a philosophical standpoint I would agree. Gravity on Earth as Einstein theorized may not actually be 32ft/secsec.

From a physics standpoint, it's been measured and proven. From a chemistry standpoint, the atomic weight of H is 1. Water consists of H2O.

So you are correct when arguing from a soft science position. Arguing from a hard science position, there are many things that are accepted as fact. Science has determined the amount of chromosomes and that you have an extra one. This is viewed as fact.

still no.

science can prove nothing. it can only provide evidence.

l2science, two face.

If the evidence is proof that you have that extra chromosome would you still say it's not really proof, it's just evidence proving the statement.

You would have to consider math to not be part of the sciences for your statement to be true. There are many in the humanities field that feel this way. I disagree. Math is a science, math has proofs, therefore...

science can not prove anything.

you are an idiot.
