Members telling me my plants are hermies?

Wow this is way to much for nothing... I know some strains grow banners at the end of the cycle.. those plants are considered connoisseur strains!! Or sensitive strains!!! Those strains don't have seeds in them because they hermie at the end of the grow cycle and In practically every case you can dial in your grow so it doesn't hermie unless the genetics are completely unstable with a dominant hermie trait...If you have seeds in your bud the plant hermied during the flowering cycle.. which is an undesirable trait that I don't want in my garden! Fuck seeds and hermies. . U don't like calling them hermies whatever , fuck plants that grow dicks!!.. Imo the plants always have the opposites sex genes in them plants with dominant opposite genes Imo at some point rise to the top making the plant hermie...I believe when the female genes are strong and extremely dominant you don't see hermies or the opposites sex flowers...and why do you keep side stepping my question have you ever grown before?

Ok I have a question. So when you have a female and you find a seed or two does that mean that you most likely has a banana?
And if so do you think those seeds would produce a good plant?

  • Bisexual: each flower of each individual has both male and female structures, i.e. it combines both sexes in one structure. Flowers of this kind are called perfect, having both stamens and carpels. Other terms used for this condition are androgynous, hermaphroditic, monoclinous and synoecious.

Single plant indoors and you find seeds? Then yes, it threw a banana somewhere. If the plant was decent, you'll get a decent plant off the seeds but they will also most likely produce bananas as well.

They will be ok and be all gemsle (no male genetics to pass on) and be as good as the parents.

Selfing plants genetics degrade over time but first few self generations should be ok then theyy get susceptable to stress and ferts and hard to grow, but i have no real evidence to back it up just seems to be what happened to me and other growers who did this.

Have you ever considered the trait they pass on is not the male hermie but the ability to deal with stress...

I might point out that continual selfed generations have beed known to show stress to ferts and less vigour when growing PLUS MORE BANNANAS in each subsequent generation....

Id guess that fits in more with what im saying

I have no scientific evide nce on selfing and lack of vigour/resistance in marijuana but it is characterised well in other fruit n veg n trees etc and generally said to be in cannabis too.

So you studied plant genetics but are completely unaware of all the different classification for plants based on their sexual expression? Must not have studied too hard.

Bisexual flowers is a topic on the EAMCET and is on the syllabus provided by The Board of Intermediate Education.
I studied plant genetics and the term bisexual is a preferance and not in the syllabus.

Please dont post learning links but actually explai the genetics that relate to a plant being a hermie.

I have stated only one way and that is if you look at the genetics and it has the genes to produce a certain protein we shall call a hormone that triggers male growth on a female plant. It is predispositioned to be a herrmie and contains both male and female.

The rest isnt a hermie just some misunderstood phenomenon of nature + hormone response to stress/collodial silver/radiation etc...

Even the most stable female cannabis plant will produce male flowers after peak flowering. Its just natures way of making sure life goes on. And no matter what stage of its life it produces a male flower or many male flowers it is a hermaphrodite by definition.

Sorry to burst your bubble but it is not by definition in genetics.

I studied plant genetics as i did most subjects, school taught me well but im still learning except nothing from you and i find your whole point flawed.

Um plant genetics is based on things like chromosomes (of which you have few).

HAVE YOU EVER GROWN WEED? I BET THIS IS YOUR FIRST GROW..AM I RIGHT? Sorry about the caps it just seems like your really avoiding this question....females always have male genes...for a male to not be involved at some point is impossible. . U can't make seeds without pollin and pollin comes from dudes!even feminized seeds have male genes in them they just have less...

Not one of you has given any biological, genetic or done any justice to the field of botany.

Apparently you disagree with science (of which you wouldnt have all these wonderfull strains!)

Starting to notice a patern here...

You have a hermie
Tap water is always bad
Always blame the soil...

Your advice stinks!

Ahhh it all makes sense now stop getting so technical. .Most people are not breeders here so hermies or fucken special plants that aren't hermies but have dicks have no place in grow rooms....I get that you are mad because u may have got a hermie...it happens to everyone. ...you should turn your attention to the plant and harvesting fruit instead of bashing terminology.. who cares what people call it... we don't want it as growers!

All those things you mentioned are grower error..If your soil sucks that's your fault... If your water is to hard or has to much chlorine or comes with to much calcium or not enough.. again that's the growers fault no one told you to put fucked up water into your pot...and if you are to stupid to take hermies out of a room your trying to produce sinsemmila in that is also the growers fault...it seems like the only one looking for excuses here is you buddy!

Edit:I'm not mad just rude!

This is the girl that I found 2 seeds in. Skunk. I will try to grow them next year and see how they do. She was yummy.

I only did it because they were free seeds and i couldnt afford new ones but really an intresting idea to do and quite fun to see the results.

I'm in the same boat about affording seeds. that's why I keep using the PK Kush ones from 2011 when my first grow seeded cause I had no clue what a male looked like till it was to late. lol Now I see one ball and it's gone. lol I was thinking maybe there should be a seed exchange on here if possible.
