if your going 9 plants, 3gal pots is ok because your going to put them in budding right away. I usually never go less than 200w per plant and use 5gal buckets (7 gal potting), I have 1200 right now over a 4x4 and getting HUGE juicy fruit, dripping and tightly pack dank.. ( trimmed today), its been coming out about 1/4 lb dry this way also. 3 feet tall, mixed breads but mostly Pineapple Express. yes I use double tall boy filters :+)

I'm ggetting freebie from g13 labs pineapple express #2 do you have any pictures?

And you think I should get 2 600 hps and 2 600 mhs for a total of 4 lights or should I just get 1000 hps n 1000 mh

600w hps will cover a 3ft x 3ft room easy and could cover a 4ft x4ft room any small than 3ft x3ft will cause you to have heat problems and the plants will not have the space to hit a high yield, because of the heat your lights may need to be 20" above the plants

yes you will have some very large good looking buds but you could pull 50% more in a 8ft x 4ft room (with a 600w hps and 600w mh)


there is no point having 2 x 600w hps over a 4ft x 4ft space, you can't get a high yield for the light used and you will need some powerful fans to keep the temps down, imo the amount of electric used is going to be really high for the yield you pull

600w uses 7.2 kw a night (12 hours) and 2 large fans can use 400w per hour , then you have oscillating fans 100w


so that's 500w x 24h (12kw) and (7.2kw) that's 19.2 kw that would cost me (0.9p per kw) so that's £1.92 per night or £107 for the 8 weeks in flower

add the veg time under 24hours of light could round it up to £200

now it your thinking about using 4x 600w lights will need an ac and with the extra fans and light you could be hitting £1000
for the electric and as its your first crop you may only pull 5-6 oz's

I want to help you but you need to take a step back and think what am I doing and is it going to work

I like what your saying my room is 7x5 or 7x6 I'm pretty positive a 600,hps n mh would be more then enough for 3-5 plants like we talked about earlier and even though I have my electricity rigged so it cost much less I don't want to make the bill jump so much

yeh a 7x5 room 600w hps n mh should work, it will give a high yield
can you section a 3ft x 3ft off for veg as this will save on electric and when you have filled the space you know there ready for flower, in flower they will more than double in size so they will fill the 7 x 5 room :)

I can for sure build a 3x3 or 3x5 fine? :smile:
