Yes. The reason I think that it's a hybrid is the length of the spines. Pachanoi usually has much shorter spines. That being said, there are many phenotypes and it is hard to say exactly what it is, but it appears to be a cactus that is active.

Thank you! That's sorta what was confusing me. I was looking up how to distinguish a San Pedro and it was talking about the spines growing in groups of 4-6 and some have 7-10. It was also saying that with age the turn white which made me think it was a San Pedro again. I'm new to this stuff but really want to get more into it, it seems fun to learn about. How big of a clipping should I take? Since its a hybrid are there more alkaloids?

Remember several things, the roots like to spread and the larger the spread the larger the plant. After they are well established they may ir may not grow sprites in their own but if they have a good root structure and you cut the growing tip they WILL create sprites. The sprites can griw very quickly if the plant is watered. They love water, just not damp soil. I water mine once a week in the summer and once a month in the winter. I usually check the space between the rudges, the more they engorge the quicker they grow. I suspect that you dint want that pre harvest though.
