Thank you, that's my point also. If you actually see the way the Israelis treat the Palestinians, they are but one step away from the way Hitler treated them in Poland, Germany, etc. They come in with bulldozers and tanks and just take down houses for any reason they want, like a suspected tunnel they never found. In fact on one wall in the west bank the Israeli soldiers spray painted on a wall, Palestinians should be thrown in the ovens, so much for peace between them. The Palestinians hate the Israelis and the Israelis hate them, no bonding going on there. Yet we choose to fund these hate tactics on the Israeli side

Constantly Israel is attacked by the Palestinians and every time Israel beats the shit out of them and pushes into their territory. In war, it is customary to gain the ground you fought and bled for, but we keep making Israel give back the land to Palenstine. Don't boo-hoo over them, they are the ones hostile toward Israel and keep stirring shit up.

I'm not saying its diplomacy however, they are our allies in a very unfriendly region. Its good to be a friend of the U.S..

After A Palestinian man from Jerusalem (a citizen of Israel) killed 3 people on his rampage in Jerusalem the other day, Israel is planing to demolish his home where 20 other people live in E Jerusalem. Israeli authorities determined there were no other people linked to the crime and that he acted alone.


Now this man murdered 3 people and there is no sympathy for him. But lets dissect this decision to demolish his home and what it means.


The guy was a Palestinian, and it appears that Israel wants to make it clear that anybody who attacks Jewish people in an Israeli-occupied territory will lose the privilege of living in Israel- dead or alive. Note the word privilege. I wonder if a Jewish person went on a killing rampage and murdered some Arab civilians in Jerusalem if HIS house would be destroyed. I highly doubt it. Because at the core of the Israeli mentality, they believe that Israel is a Jewish homeland, and that Palestinians, despite their irrefutable historical ties to the land, are second priority to the land (if any at all). This belief is at the core of the Palestinian problem, and it shines out perfectly at times like this.


This belief is also evident in the bulldozing of thousands of Palestinian homes throughout the rest of Israel to either punish them or make way for Jewish homes. When was the last time Israel demolished a Jewish neighborhood to make way for an Arab one? Save the sugarcoated bullshit about the rights that Arab-Israelis supposedly get because that means nothing if they aren't given EQUAL rights in all aspects of society. Nobody should receive credit for giving back half of what they should never have taken in the first place.

The Public Committee Against Torture in Israel (PCATI) said the army was indifferent to such mistreatment.

The organisation said its findings were based on 90 detailed accounts from Palestinians and soldiers who say they witnessed the abuse.
A military spokesman said the army viewed any violation of its ethical code with great concern.

The army says it set up a special unit to look into complaints of abuse in 1996, and since then there had been a rise in the number of soldiers reporting violence against detainees.
A military spokesman, quoted by AFP news agency, insisted that the armed forces "act in line with international and Israeli laws regarding the arrest of terrorist suspects".

'Serious injuries'

Israeli troops frequently round up prisoners during raids in Palestinian areas. They say their actions are aimed at preventing attacks on Israeli civilians by militants.
But the human rights group says that soldiers are often violent towards prisoners - even after they have been handcuffed and no longer pose a threat.

"On certain occasions, the ill-treatment of Palestinian detainees is highly violent, resulting in serious injuries," said the report, which covers the period from June 2006 to October 2007.
"Minors, who must be granted special protection under both Israeli and international law, are also victims of abuse," the report said.

Earlier this year, the PCATI accused Israeli officials of using psychological torture against some Palestinian detainees by threatening action against their families if they did not co-operate.
The Israeli government has already said such interrogation tactics are illegal, and the internal security organisation, Shin Bet , denied the claims.

In May, Jewish organisations will be celebrating the 60th anniversary of the founding of the state of Israel. This is understandable in the context of centuries of persecution culminating in the Holocaust. Nevertheless, we are Jews who will not be celebrating. Surely it is now time to acknowledge the narrative of the other, the price paid by another people for European anti-semitism and Hitler's genocidal policies. As Edward Said emphasised, what the Holocaust is to the Jews, the Naqba is to the Palestinians.

In April 1948, the same month as the infamous massacre at Deir Yassin and the mortar attack on Palestinian civilians in Haifa's market square, Plan Dalet was put into operation. This authorised the destruction of Palestinian villages and the expulsion of the indigenous population outside the borders of the state. We will not be celebrating.

In July 1948, 70,000 Palestinians were driven from their homes in Lydda and Ramleh in the heat of the summer with no food or water. Hundreds died. It was known as the Death March. We will not be celebrating.

In all, 750,000 Palestinians became refugees. Some 400 villages were wiped off the map. That did not end the ethnic cleansing. Thousands of Palestinians (Israeli citizens) were expelled from the Galilee in 1956. Many thousands more when Israel occupied the West Bank and Gaza. Under international law and sanctioned by UN resolution 194, refugees from war have a right to return or compensation. Israel has never accepted that right. We will not be celebrating.

We cannot celebrate the birthday of a state founded on terrorism, massacres and the dispossession of another people from their land. We cannot celebrate the birthday of a state that even now engages in ethnic cleansing, that violates international law, that is inflicting a monstrous collective punishment on the civilian population of Gaza and that continues to deny to Palestinians their human rights and national aspirations.

We will celebrate when Arab and Jew live as equals in a peaceful Middle East.

A member of the Jewish Defense League pleaded guilty Tuesday to conspiring with the leader of the militant group to bomb a local mosque and a congressman's office.

Earl Krugel, 60, of Reseda, his hands cuffed and shackled to his waist, changed his innocent pleas to guilty Tuesday in federal court. The short, bald former dental assistant spoke quietly as he admitted to one count of conspiracy to violate the civil rights of the users of the mosque and one count of carrying an explosive device in connection with a conspiracy to impede or injure an officer of the United States.

Krugel could be sentenced to as many as 20 years in prison and fined up to $500,000 when he is sentenced on May 19.

"As this successful prosecution makes clear, acts of terror targeted at individuals because of their race, religion or national origin will not be tolerated in the United States -- they will be aggressively investigated, swiftly prosecuted and firmly punished," U.S. Attorney General John Ashcroft said in a statement.

"The FBI is gratified that Mr. Krugel has admitted his guilt in this matter," said Ronald Iden, assistant director in charge of the FBI.

Outside court, Krugel's attorney said the plea agreement was "distasteful" but right because his client "was going to basically die in prison if he went to trial and lost."

"We are facing a political climate where it's difficult to defend alleged actions of domestic terrorism," attorney Mark Werksman said.

In addition, the prosecution had hours of "extremely incriminating" recorded conversations between Krugel, late JDL leader Irv Rubin and a teenager who was an FBI informant, Werksman said.

However, Werksman said Krugel and Rubin were "explicit" in their discussions that only property damage was intended and "nobody was supposed to get hurt."

Had the case gone to trial, the lawyer said he would have argued that Krugel and Rubin were entrapped into making the statements by overzealous FBI agents.

Krugel and Rubin were arrested in 2001 and charged with conspiring to bomb the King Fahd Mosque in Culver City and a field office of Rep. Darrell E. Issa, R-Vista. Issa is a Lebanese-American.

Hours before both men were set to appear in court Nov. 4, Rubin slashed his neck with a prison-issued razor blade and tumbled 18 feet over a railing at the downtown federal Metropolitan Detention Center, according to federal officials. He died nine days later.

Rubin's estate has filed a $5 million wrongful death claim against the U.S. government. His wife, Shelley, said Tuesday that she was shocked by the plea agreement and insisted that her late husband had nothing to do with any bomb plot.

"My husband only did good for people. He only helped people and he stood up against the real haters in this country and around the world," she said.

She alleged that the government set up her husband in an effort to destroy him and denounced the allegations in the plea agreement as lies.

As for Krugel, who had been best man at the Rubins' wedding, she said "he sold my husband's memory down the drain."

"We hope he dies in prison," she added.

A JDL spokesman said Krugel had been dismissed from the group.

In court, the prosecution read the plea agreement, in which Krugel maintains he and Rubin met in late 2001 and discussed bombing Arab institutions in the Los Angeles area.

Krugel called mosques "filthy" and said Arabs needed a "wakeup call," while Rubin suggested bombing Issa's office, the agreement said. It was targeted because the congressman held political views contrary to their own.

Krugel also admitted to storing pipes, fuse and gunpowder for the bombs in his garage, according to the agreement.

Investigators searching his home found books on bomb-making and flyers describing how to "rid the world" of Arabs and practicing Muslims, according to the agreement.

Outside court, prosecutor Gregory W. Jessner denied that the government had entrapped Krugel and Rubin. The informant was a JDL recruit who went to authorities because "he became concerned about what he was being drawn into," Jessner said.

The case shows, Jessner said, that "the U.S. government will work tirelessly to intercede in any sort of terrorist plot."

Michelle Koons, 19, female August 13, 1967 Brown Killed at Trout Lake campsite in Glacier National Park by a female bear. Although Helgeson and Koons were the same age and killed on the same night, these were separate attacks by different bears approximately 10 miles (16 km) apart.[16]
