IMO, you're not going to fully finish that lovely lady in only 5 weeks. She looks like she's only been seriously flowering for around 2 weeks.

I'd look at finishing her inside, or at least building a little green house for her, with a heater or something, if you're going to keep her outside.

Great looking plant though, and best of luck.

Thank you very very much...kinda what I thought. ....good job...I just got a green ..6 x 8 foot glass..vented....I have built frame but yet to put on stable foundation and add the glass which I have....me thinks this is a project for next few days get ready ...i n case they dont finish.....do u think extending the dark period by few hours by bringing um Into a shed...would speed up finishing um????

I haven't read anything from a reliable botanical source that would confirm or deny whether the flowering process can be accelerated by reducing the light period. If there is a reliable study available, I sure would like to read it.

IMO, once the plant is under a flowering light cycle, we can interrupt the flowering cycle by adding light and reverting to veg, but we can't ACCELERATE the flowering cycle at all. The closest thing we can do is provide the best nutrition and environment possible so as to allow the plant to flower naturally as effectively and efficiently as possible.

If somebody DOES find a good study, post a link for me....

Best of luck.

Okey dokey thanx again....reason I asked is because indoor before ...now. When my extraction failed....the smell got rediculous from 4 super girls..anyway I advto chop when most of hairs were still white.....I left in pitch black for 5 day straight after shutting everything down...after this 80% at least pistil were briwny colour....I thought I may be could do summit 'similar ' ....anyhow just a thought....I'll continue to feed and if need be finish in the at mo incomplete but soon to be full greenhouse.....is using bubble wrap do think a sensible option for masking the greenhouse glass ...do u think it'll block to much light????

Actually you can easily make your flowers finish faster just by cutting back the light. Lamby666 you were right when you asked if extra darkness with make them finish faster. What happens is when light hours reach a certain point, say 10 hours of light and 14 hours of darkness, the plants existing flowers will ripen in a haste. They will not get bigger but as Ed Rosenthal says, "when your ready for your existing flowers to ripen, just increase your dark time and the plant will finish as if winter was coming. There is a reason they are called "photoperiod" decreasing light increases flowering hormones (auxins I believe), when you start falling below 12/12 they think winter is coming and rush to try and create seeds (reproduce so to speak). If anyone want's to argue, I'll gladly find the quotes where Ed Rosenthal says this and I'm sure I've read Jorge Cerventes say it too. Just google how to make Marijuana flowers ripen faster.

Correct!!! Decrease your light hours and this will decrease your wait time for ripe flowers. Just don't expect them to get bigger. Once you hit 11 hours of light and lower, the existing flowers will ripen within 2 weeks usually for indica's and perhaps a lil bit longer for sativa's but not much.

What strain are you growing there? My outdoor c99 have been slow, just icing up now. I'm expecting another 4 weeks! Hopefully their bud size will increase as they are small pop corns ATM
