How do they grow MASSIVE mj plants?

I see videos on youtube showing absolutely massive 20 foot bushes. I was just looking for some insight into how this is done.

Do they grow that large in one season or do they reveg them year after year?
I'm guessing that genetics has a lot to do with it.
Maybe they start them indoors in the fall in massive pots and then transplant in the Spring?

It's my dream to have a mj bush that I need electric trimmers and a ladder to maintain

They grow that big in one season and genetics do have a part in it. They actually start them in the spring. Check out "The Growing Large Plants Outdoors Thread" on icmag.com and you'll learn everything you need to know about growing large plants. You can learn most of it in the first 40 pages, but there's plenty of good information throughout the thread.

Some outdoor growers will veg their plants indoors for a year or more before putting them outside in spring.

Check out Garden boss, or Double JJ, or any of the other huge outdoor threads they've got going on here, and you'll see how it's done. Our RIU outdoor growers have some of the best looking, and LARGEST, plants going anywhere.

Hell, methinks DoubleJJ had a plant as big as that one in the vid growing in his back yard a season or two ago.
