Tga seeds low plant vigor

Anyone else notice TGA seeds having low vigor from the start? I planted three seeds and both the tga are weak while my other, a critical ssh at the same age is growing very well. Is this common with TGA? Seriously ticked off because I know its not something I did at this point as all three have gotten the same treatment. What gives?

There's a fair bit of inbreeding going on in some TGA lines, so you can expect less vigorous plants as a result on average. Pretty unstable lines though, so you never exactly know what you're going to get.

Blah! I have 9lb hammer and Qleaner. They have very low vigor. Not sick so much just slow growing. Maybe I should have started the JC2 instead.

9lb bammer, bought two packs and cut them all as they grew balls at not just my house but my buddies. Such a waste of money and I got them AT COST to the collective. I wouldn't do it again I tell you that.

Sorry to hear man. If these girls do grow out I hope that's not the case for them.

I'll tell you what gives. Subcool bred his strains to be flavorful, not for yield. We've just shitcanned most of his strains for the very same reason.

I just recently pulled a dairy queen male. Only bought 1 seed. Come to think of it ,it was very slow.
I was wondering if it was ever going to take off. It was like the most picture perfect plant I have seen in a while.
Sucked I had to pull it! Description of the seed sounded awesome.
I have 1 Plushberry, and 1 Qleaner left. We will see.

I'll tell you what gives. Subcool bred his strains to be flavorful, not for yield. We've just shitcanned most of his strains for the very same reason.

They need a kick in the balls emoticon because that is what it just felt like reading that. Here we go: This is not cool. I'm going to start some new seeds or pull something from my clone library, it sucks because half my clones went into flower during a 14/10 attempt to cut cost that was why I started TGA. I'll keep them in the library with the other little ones JIC.

I don't claim to know everything about his strains but those we've run we've gotten rid of.

I've grown packs of Cheese Quake and Jillybean and while I didn't find them to be overly potent, they were a breeze to grow and were very large, vigorous plants. No complaints here.

I've run beans from several strains - RB, Ch, AoS, JB, DQ, TW, and w/o exception they were all vigorous, non-hermied, good yielding, B+ and above smoke. Of 8 beans recenly popped, jillybean f2 and Qrazy Quake [Breeders Boutiques crossing of 2 TGA lines] are far ahead of 2 Fireballs [BB] and one Fat Marty Grape Stomper.

I have a hard time believing so many would complain if their experiences were not true, but in my case, I've only been disappointed with Space Bomb, and only because of puny yields. Jack Skellingtons are planned for the first of the year, along w/ Xhernobyl and Ripped Bubba, because the cupboard inventory is getting low, and both strains, for me, are must haves.

iv gotten great vigor out of AOS. im curious how that jack skellington turns out...

Who knows, when they finally do get some size maybe I'll not be so disappointed. It is bitter sweet though, at least now I can start my other WOS Afghan Kush x Skunk and Afghan Kush Special. The skunk was a good plant the first time, lets hope these next ones are just as good. I mean, I have a few others of the qleaner and 9 lbs hammer but I'm kind of hesitant to waste more time atm ya know?

I have 2x JC2 have any of you grown it and what was the yield like? I read that it is an f2 so it should be crazy vigorous by comparison not unlike my 818 headband and that it is a good breeder plant? What was your yield like/ pot size?

After roots grow thru the root plug, it goes in a small styrofoam cup [6 oz] with grodan rocks up to the top of the plug. That cup has holes in the bottom, and sits inside another 6 oz cup w/ no holes. A couple of times a day, I pour h2o thru the cup. When roots show thru the first cup, I move the cup into a larger 12 oz cup w holes that sit in another 12 oz cup, as before - no transplanting - just sit the small cup into the larger one [with grodan]. At this point it's watered twice a day with a 33% grow solution. When roots show through the 2nd cup, it's placed in the hydro bucket and into the veg tent.

Interesting. So, when you water you remove the inner cup so the water flows through freely and then place it back inside the other cup so as to limit evaporation of the remaining water?

i have grown AOS and 9 pound hammer this year and have to say they grew like crazy during veg and no hermies..I grow outside in a greenhouse or in 25 gal dirt pots...the TGA were in dirt pots..the GH is reserved for females only.....I plant in almost 100% compost ammended and a little pro mix..maybe 5% ...all the plants were over 9 feet ..the buds were rock hard and very frosty...I used mostly organic teas i made...lots of kelp also...I did 3 9 pounds and 1 AOS...got 2 females from 9 pound and the AOS was a female...I took the male 9 pound and gathered pollen from it after i isolated it....i pollenated 1 branch on each 9 Pound and also the AOS ,,,got about 20 seeds from each branch...
now the 9 pound has some kick to it...and smells great.....the AOS tastes like cherries and has an up lifting high....

last year I grew out some kaboom...and it was great...did not grow it this year....but next year when i expand my outside garden site...I want to grow some of the crosses I made also...
