Alright, the curiosity has gotten the better of me.

What was this magical land like "before"?

So many people are talking about how much it sucks NOW, so what was it like?

This was my first forum ever. I don't have a basis of comparison. But I think tote n' talk is funny as shit. Bunch of strangers shit-talking each other from all over the world - neat.

I like it here.

But BEFORE? Was it magical? When someone "liked" something of yours did a tiny cartoon unicorn dance across the screen and you'd get a badge saying that "PEOPLE LIKE YOU"!!!

Did there used to be nipples? Or cartoon porn? I'm still iffy on why some things are considered art and other things are considered pornographic.

Is there a suggestion box? In leu of "likes" I would prefer to get a cat-unicorn picture.

what it is is people dont like change
we used to run on vbulletin, by the last couple of months of vbulletin all of a sudden likes were crashing riu for hours so we had to take away the like button and than everyone flipped shit about that,
than vbulletin just kept constantly crashing, and loosing everyones shit , and than eventually the whole website just shut down for like a day so we imported to xenforo, but we had to do it quicker than anticipated because of vbulletin crashing the entire website , so riu was down for like an entire week because we had to import all of the fucking photos on the old site to the new site,
than admin and i quickly had to fuck around ont he website to make sure its basically worked a little enough for users to get around
so than admin launched it
and obviously because he had to do a rushed job of it , there were bugs , and a few issues that he missed setting up like so so needs like button ect,
so than people got extremely pissed off at that ,

than people got extremely pissed off about the layout and the color scheme

basically in a fucking nut shell the people who complained the most about vbulletin being a piece of shit and asking admin to fix it, left when admin fixed it you cant make people happy ever.

now as for people complaining about the "rule" at the top of the page, i dont get it, that rule was always in affect , its just in plain bold letters now we mod no more differently than we did on the old website ...

I joined just before the old site crashed. I like the "rep" stuff. But this new format is okay too. It's a forum dudes geez. There has been it seems a sudden influx of ppl joining. But I guess I could be counted in that number too LOL

Skype is not "online", it is a series of tubes called the internets connected to applications that reside on particular devices, like iPhone or iPad. In my case, I has iPhone, iPad, iMac and my Samsung smart tv. I did not have it, being Skype application, installed on any of my devices, so therefore I could not have been "online". What you saw was an error in Skype's messaging system. Or rather, one of their tubes failed.
