Big fat roots = big fat plants = big fat buds...
its all good!

every silver lining has a cloud though... the Aerogarden is kinda small (1 gallon reservoir) - flowering will be stunted if you try to grow more then (or even) 1 plant in 1 gallon res. the roots will be "bound".

I would recommend moving to a 5- 10 gallon DWC for flowering. These Aerogardens are a lil small for flowering.

My plants have been growing for 24 days now. I started froom seed (AK47). My roots are at least 16 inches long. I was advised to trim a couple of inches from them. I have not done that yet. I have three plants in the unit. They seem to be growing slowly but doing well. I stopped using the ag nutes after the first cycle & went to Fox Farm big grow.
Anyway--I think your roots are just fine.

Peace, O2

Have you considered pruning the roots? Before you have me committed to an insane asylum consider this. You often have to prune green vegetation for air circulation and light and I've had good luck pruning the roots so long as you don't remove more than 1/3 if the available root structure. You might want to try it. A hint though; I use Technaflora's recipe for success nutes and they always include B-1 in their formula.
