But, when you have an infestation of bud worms, the mantis is no help, because the worms are already imbedded deep inside the colas. The moths in my area come in droves. Hundreds will lay eggs overnight from what i have found. No mantis can keep up with that. Even if they did somehow eat bud worms, how does an outdoor grower keep them on their MJ plants exclusively? I have used them in the past for veggi gardening. The Mantis hatch and fly off, I see a few occasionally throughout the summer, but most of them disperse. I would have to be there day and night, making sure they stay on the plants and don't just fly off, as they do. Suggesting to the OP that controlling a bud worm problem exclusively with a mantis is a fairy tail and kinda irresponsible and misleading to pass along. If they worked so well, we would all be using them instead of BT, but that's not the case..
