Drying... Insect Prevention?

I have been having a hard time finding the answer to this question and it was not in the FAQ.

When drying outdoor cannabis, I want to dry indoors for a controlled environment to get the best possible medicine at the end. I worry about bringing in bugs to my indoor garden while doing so.

Does anyone have any recommendations on what to do, in order to prevent bringing in bugs to my indoor garden? (Indoor garden is currently all vegging, trying to figure out when to start flowering - I need to soon, as plants are getting to large, but hesitant to, since I am worried about bringing in pests while drying my plants)

If there is similar threads you are aware of, please refer me to them.

You need a quarantine room, a small clean room,
with perhaps one of the electronic bug zappers,
perhaps some insect mesh over the windows and door?

In the same situation years ago I used a plastic shit rain smok and removed in once inside
kept for the purpoises also rubber boot called wellies in the UK

you have probably brought what ever bugs if you have any into your indoor grow on your own person or pets. Best learn how to treat and prevent infestations because you will eventually end up with something. Even going into your vegetable garden with out putting on a nuke suit before going into your indoor will bring in bugs. The two really don't go well with each other .

On a side note:
Would you happen to know if IMID applied to the soil kills off beneficials/makes it impossible for them to live?
I read whatever has to eat the IMID before it kills them, so I am guessing not but don't know for sure

The very last thing you would want to do, is get lazy, and not do these things. Especially since you are going to be bringing your outdoor in to dry. Do what you gotta do now, so your flower room doesn't become infested and infected. Peace

The eagle20 and the floramite yes. 100% compatable But do 2.5ml/gal of each, when mixing together.
If your going to spray the forbid, i would still wait a week. Allthough it MIGHT work, I have actually fucked up some leaves before, by throwing that kitchen sink combo at them before.
Yet, In the Bay Area, we would do: eagle20, floramite, and avid together all the time(called it triple-threat), and never tweaked leaves.
It seemed that Avid used to knock out the thrips(i can't verify this anylonger), but Avid doesn't do squat to allot of the mites here in CA, so I stopped using it.

I'm honestly not sure about the compatability of spinosad with those others.
But, I listed everything in the order I would spray. Get those systemics in first, and out of the way. Then the forbid, while in veg. And like I had said, the spinosad is safe for flower, so i wouldn't veg longer than needed, trying to fit in the spinosad two applications, 4-5 days apart, has worked for me, for the thrips.
My buddy, just recently had the worst thrip infestation i've ever seen(and i've been growing indoor for 24 yrs), It took him 3 applications of the spinosad to completely get rid of the thrips.
Isn't if fun spraying all this shit? It's soooo fun. Especially spraying monster outdoor plants. NOT! Lol

Hahahah that is the truth, it is a blast, especially the large outdoor plants! My favorite part of it!! Takes a ton of spray to, the outdoor plants.

Thanks homie, I truly appreciate you helping me out! Hard to find this info online. Or it was for me anyways. Everyone is always talking about organic sprays and cleanliness.. But shit, in the end that never really seems to work in my limited experience. Maybe if your way up high in the mountains.. Oh and spinosad is the shit, i've been using it to control caterpillars outdoors, seems to take care of a lot of other pests to.

Hey one other quick question:

Do you think there could be any health hazards spraying all these chemicals indoors? I am assuming as long as you have good air exchange then all is good?

I turn off all my fans. Wear a good respirator(made for this), and I am fully dressed, with long sleeve shirt. After i'm done spraying, i turn back on fans and ventilation.
I would imagine one should wear a Tyvek suit. But i'm an idiot. I just hope i don't get cancer or some shit, from all the times i've gotten lazy.

Thanks for letting me know how to safely apply them! I was just worried about my dogs for real, would hate to give them cancer or something that is out of their control, but I figured having good vent/exhaust fans would take care of that.

I use neem oil every week during veg as a foliar spray... at some point I root drench with the neem once or twice... I spray with bt everywhere Once every week during veg.. When it starts to bud I neem them for the first two weeks of flower...I use bt for the first 4 weeks of flower .. then I don't spray them at all with anything and release ladybugs a week or so later... ...o and I forgot about the praying mantis eggs I put out in April!. I don't have any bug infestations!

Thank you! I was asking more so about drying indoors and preventing bugs getting to my indoor garden, but these are great tips that I really appreciate! I should of started spraying bt much earlier than I did with the crazy amount of moths that we have had. Learned that the hard way :/

Preventive maintenance. Azamax works for me, and ortho home defense for perimeters. Also trim it as close as you can, bugs dont travel across sticky nugg. OH I use lines to hang and always spray the wire ends where it meets the wall, mites will climb up then scale the wire, worms usually hang down. Most insects will die if away from live vegatation for long periods. GL
