hey RIU crew, I have a question. I've been reading a ton about air replacement/movement in grow area's. Like all other topics in the world, there is a million different answers, or opinions, on this question.
I have 2 6.5x6.5x6.5 tents. A veg and a bloom. Veg uses a 1k watt MH where the bloom uses a 1k watt HPS. Both of which are air cooled hoods. The veg room runs with one side of hood open (has very forgiving dust filter) with a 250 cfm booster fan in middle of the duct run, dumping into an outside vent. above the hood is a 250cfm fan pulling air above the hood to the outside as well. I run a humidifier and an AC on timers that run the same cycle as the light. Light on temp-75 RH-55-60%. Off temp-65-68 RH-50-60%. I have no intake. Around the bottom of tent are vents that have screens in them. I tend to leave them shut for the most part due to plants looking very healthy and temps/RH staying where i want. Not to mention its MAINE and our temps/RH are about as inconsistent as it gets. But, is this a bad idea on my part?
My question is the more I read the more I grow concerned. Everyone says negative pressure rooms are prone to all the common bad stuff. And where I run only exhaust, that's all there is is negative pressure. Granted there is plenty of air "movemt" with clip fans, ac, and exhaust I would think.
Any input is appreciated. I apologize for any ignorance I may have just displayed haha, the indoor scene IS still fresh for me.
Thanks for the advice in advance!! Happy growing all!
