About to start my first LED grow! Need some advice!

Hey all,
Thankyou for taking the time to read my thread. I'm really new to all this, but am starting a DWC bubbleponics setup in 5gal. black pails and will be running a Mars LED 192x3W reflector series Pannel. I've got no experience with the DWC bubbleponics setup, nor any experience with LED's. I do however have a good general knowedge of recirculating hydroponics and HID lighting.

Now the black pails that I will be using are 5gallon ones. I will be running an airstone in there along with a water pump that will drip feed the net mesh pot. Now my tent size is 4ftx4ftx7ft high.

I have either of 2 varieties to run. I've got white widow feminized seeds and white widow auto flowering seeds. I have also got 10 black pails. My questions are:

How many pails should I be running in this tent?

Is the LED pannel I have adequate for the tent size? I also have 2 x 96W T5HO Panels. Should I also use these in my grow?

Which of the two varieties should I be using. I've got no experience with autoflowering, but I hear that the yield is dismal.

2-3 at the most
and you can never have enough lighting imo, so no that isnt enough

DWC i would do the fems, they will enjoy the dwc more than the autos

Add the t5s for now... Not enough light in my opinion. I'm not an expert

So, I will run the WW Feminized seed and keep my numbers down, and add an extra pannel as soon as I can afford to get one.

I'll start off with 5 seeds and see how I go from there.

You can get away with 5 under that many watts. I think it kinda depends on how you manicure the plants. If the light is straight 3w LED's set up a SOG, and trim everything below the canopy. if it has lenses then kinda up to you. That's my two cents.

If you end up doing the autos, which is what I do, I would do 4 in that size of tent. I just got a 4x4 and I have the same light. LED is awesome but watch the calmag. The LEDs do something or other that pulls a lot of calcium and magnesium, so always dose it. BTW Autos LOVE DWC. Way more than soil, and you can make monsterous plants using DWC effectively. Whichever you choose though DWC is probably the best use of plants. If you go with reg plants, I would probably cut it down to 3 plants. Honestly, you should be okay with the one LED and it is rated for covering that whole space in veg, however, there is no harm in adding the T5 lights as well. Good luck.

So does anyone know any links to the possible yield of WW autoflowering under 600W of LED?

Or any simmilar grows done?

I agree with thorhax you don't have enough light. Only about 20 watts per square foot. I have the solar storm 440 and I use it in a. 3x2 tent and still think I need more light. I'd up my wattage or switch to maybe at least a 3x3 tent. But others may have better ideas.

Yes, I'm certain I'll have to come up with another LED pannel. Hopefully over the next couple of weeks. To begin with, I'll have to run my T5 Pannels on either side and see how I go.
