grow closet design.....thoughts?

Hey everyone. I've finished my custom grow closet. It's a 6 ft tall by 3 ft wide closet.

the closet has two areas (clones on the top and parents on the bottom). The pics are not the most current as I have added an additional two vent fans to the lower portion. My method will be a DWC with white widow strain. Not sure yet, but I will probably use the SOG method.

Temperature is a bit high (85 F) but humidity is good (70%). The set up has 4 cfls suspended from the top of the parent chamber with 16 fluorescent blulbs lining the bottom parent chamber. The clone chamber at the top has 4 cfls suspended from the top. The lumens per sq ft in my parent chamber is approximately 4500 lumens per sq ft. All internal IMAG0329.jpg IMAG0327.jpg IMAG0328.jpg IMAG0329.jpg IMAG0327.jpg IMAG0328.jpg IMAG0329.jpg IMAG0327.jpg IMAG0328.jpg surfaces are lined with Mylar.

Any thoughts about the set up or my grow method given my set up/strain?

That's a lot of wasted light using the 4 footers from top to bottom,2 ft bulbs will produce the same results......nevertheless you have a sweet little setup:clap:...just a little overkill on the lights for a mother/parent box:).peace

I agree about the 4 ft lights being too tall. But I already had a lot of them on hand from my last set up. I dismantled 4-four foot shop lights that used to be suspended. Had I started from scratch I would have gone with a shorter light. Thanks!

I like it,
but there is one GOLDEN RULE you have IGNORED
Water below the waist
and electricity above the waist
or otherwize you're DEAD!

go figure sum more

consider cutting the floor out
so there is no way that any
water splash will get into those flouros

I agree with this. You may really want to consider a way to separate some of the lower section for where your mother is going to be to be able to avoid water spillage on the light contacts. As I am sure you know they do not mix all that well. Love the setup though.

As have quoted the guy above me.

How much room is between the floor and the top part of the bottom shelf. Once you get your mother ready or if you already have her take her pot or DWC container and cut that out to fit in there. So it lowers as far as you can get it. Plus you can use that to keep the lower part of the soil or water cooler so it hold more Oxygen.

Or

Build a smaller box inside that chest to separate your pot area from the floro tubes. One that would keep your water separate from the area of the lights.

Or

Build a short wall in front of the lights to keep it all separate.

Just want to see you safe man.

Accidents do happen and no need to kill your self growing this amazing plant.

Thanks for looking out. I purchased plexiglass and "sealed" the lights away from the grow space. So splashing won't get to the contacts. Also if a leak were to occur, water would drain out the bottom. My contacts are about 1 inch off the bottom.

Awesome. Good. Don't want to see anyone getting hurt.

How far did you go up with the plexi-glass. Any pics?

Ok cool man. Get some pics after she is all set-up and your mother is in there, Wanna see how she does in there,

Cool box man. Reminds me of my first cab. It was funny the light glowed threw the plastic cab. worked though. But I rented so it was tough.

Ill follow you man. Curious.
