Do you think if it's too much red in a panel you can add a all blue to try to balance it out?You want some red during veg to promote root development as well as some stretch.
The key is the balance of B v R

I will, thanksOnce you get multiple layers of canopy, orange, amber, and yellow start to become more important. These wavelengths penetrate better than red and blue because chlorophyll does not absorb them as well.
All the red is absorbed at the top canopy layer, and acts as a signal that it is not blocked by other leaves. When a lower branch receives yellow with the red filtered out, it knows it is being shaded and stretches until it sees the red again. The yellow also acts as a source of food for lower layers since all the red is filtered out at the top layer.
You should look up phytochromes to get a good idea of how shade avoidance works and this will all make a lot of sense.
Subbed, starting my first grow l.e.d. myself. Please peek at these bad boys (ak47 and white widow). I was scrogging them then after putting them into flowering (week 2 with this picture) they exploded in height...is this going to keep happening because they only got about 18 more inches left before they grow too tall. My God they are huge and leafy with dark green leaves even at the bottom of the plants.

I'm in Michigan right now...Maybe
It depends on how much red is splashing around the tent
You can try getting 2 x 3 vanity fixtures (I have 2 I no longer use, where are you?) plus as many CW Cree or other household led retrofits
