Man! TEDIOUS! MY EYES!!!!

I have a couple different pairs of scissors, tweezers and Hydrofarm clippers…They all last about 10 clips before they start sticking together!

I keep a cup of 99% iso beside me.

I have razor blades to scrape off/collect the scissor hash.

I wear one of those really bright headband LED lights -the kind for riding bicycle at night so that the light is right where I am looking.

I keep the radio on -usually tuned into some talk-radio show if possible

I use a Roc-N-Soc hydraulic drumming stool for sitting.

Anything else I can do to make this process more bearable? Any old tricks of the trade?

First Remove all of the fan leaves being very careful to not lose the Trich's that Will fall off.. Place all small Trichome covered leaves(Smaller) into sealable box for scrap's to make bubble Hash and shatter. Now depending on Humidity,Density and Weight it could take a few week's to dry and cure, the bigger the Cola (Bud) Then The longer the cure time.So many method's of doing this but this one is Mine...All Massive Colas 1OZ and above are placed in Brown/White paper Bag's to slow my dry for sometimes three weeks and all of the regular sized bud's are hung from a plastic clothes hanger and put in a dark Dry Place...Chlorophyll is what You will be fighting and it will disappear,I Limit My Nitrogen in the last two week's just so I don't have as much Chlorophyll to deal with. These bud's will dry faster because I remove the Stem's.I generally have a 4G bud into a curing containerand finished within one week and if the Bud is super dank the chlorophyll will be almost Non existent in a week.As Your product is Curing/Drying it will shrink and will need to be trimmed even closer,at this time remove the leaves and Pin's left from the Fan Leaves Etc... Remove the lid to the container every day for @ least 15 min's.If Your Bud dries too much then cut a corner off of a napkin and wet it.Overnight it will dissipate and You can Tweak the taste rather than just dry it and sell it.Every day it is in an dark airtight container it will taste better...Namaste

After cleaning the blades oil lightly. Won't get sticky for awhile. I put a little hemp oil on a cotton ball and wipe on blade. Do every five minutes and won't get sticky. And if getting sticky it means you have lots of resin. WooHoo.

I have 10 pair of fiskars for trimming. when they are not in my hand busy cutting of some nugs, they hang out in a cup of 91%. as soon as a pair starts to stick, I swap it with one that's been hanging out in alcohol cup.

I have a spin pro trimmer and absolutely LOVE it. cut my 22hr trim session to 10 hrs solo, or about 5-6 with a patient who helps me,

I love the plant. I don't love sitting (with a tweaked back) for hours. I don't like feeling under pressure to get it all done, when there are lots of plants coming off the floor, either.

When I do my personal grow, it's only 4-6 plants -and just happens to be easy strains to trim. But I am also helping a friend who has a much bigger grow than mine and some of the plants are real boogers! I think he should get a few of those salad bowl crank trimmers because he's selling his stuff to dispensaries and those trimmers easily achieve the quality of trim job that dispensaries will accept.

Spray your scissors with PAM and you can trim far longer without them getting sticky.

I too did not read every reply, but I skimmed through a little looking for key words and didn't pick up on any.
I have been using a torch. I trim as much as I can with a decent pair of trimming scissors, till they get gummed up.
Then hold the blades for a lil bit in the flame of a torch, not even that long, make some clipping motion with them in the flame.
Let it cool for a brief moment and then back to clipping. You could just go right back to clipping but the idea is not to burn the nugs.
So a short cooling and back at it. This seems to be working well for me anyway. haha, also I did manage to get a bit of a hash buzz doing this.

Maybe just heating with a lighter will let you know if the heat idea is going to work for you.

Seems to me like just regular scissors works better sometimes too. Those spring loaded ones are nice but not so much when they are gummed up and sticking. Regular scissors you can manually open them so I think you can trim longer before its unbearable and they need to be cleaned. My regular scissors actually seem sharper too.
