How much Led wattage would I need to fully illuminate two healthy girls, in 3 gallon buckets, vegged a month? I have about 300 watts. My space is a 2X2.5 grow tent.

Big dif, still should be enough for your space.
I am working on putting 2 CXA AB's @2100mA Dimmable into a 2x2. Max with this setup is as high as 40watts a sq/ft....plenty.
35 watts and up of know top bin diodes, is good for saturation, although some of the top scientists here are just growing their hearts out @ 25 watts sq ft . Increase it for cheaper diodes that don't readily make info known [spectrum, power, manufacturer, etc.]

Dang, why didn't you go more plants? Or linger veg? I can get 4 in 3 gallons in there. I have about 250ish actual in a similar space, easily pull a quarter to a half, depending on genetics

I would add one more. LED is usually rated at 2x the actual draw. I do believe we get a much better form of light per watt than most lights and the decrease in need to cool the hot lights of HPS is wonderful for a small personal garden. its 70f today and I have 2k in watts with nothing but a window, "half open", and fans. mmm, better do a temp check.. good luck and happy farming :+) " went and checked temps. on wall and on thermometer on top of soil is same, 80f... just using cfl's before and it would of been over heated. 100% LED now is awesome"

You do realize that the SGS is from 2012/2013, correct? Also it's a near 3 year old used SGS on top of it. What year is the other one from? Why not a 2015? vs 2015?

I can assure you that I was not considering you, I won't even agree to sell you a light, Hyroot is a much better choice than you, he knows how to email me, I might send him one, I might not. I'll have plenty of units that I budgeted to give away for testing. I want to see growing though, not shilling.
I was just pointing out that it's a brand new light against a 3 year old used light, not really a fair comparison. I'm not even sure Cree XPGs are made anymore, I haven't bought one in almost 2 years. They were great in 2012 and into 2013, but they've been succeeded many times by newer Cree LEDs.

HE (JEFF) offered me a free light to do a grow on IC, but never followed through. I kept trying to contact him, and instead of him responding with a lie like "we changed our minds" he chose to IGNORE me.
His pathetic excuse is I bugged him when the tracking for the 2 freebie ufos he sent was not being updated.
All I was trying to do was find out where they were, but that pissed him off. He now uses that as his excuse

I never said it was bettering. I said it was doing just as good but with a smaller footprint. These 5 watt leds kick ass. I also said it was 3 different strains / phenos and the lights are not separated. Light does bleed through. So its not a complete fair comparison. You can see how well the plant is doing regardless.
the age of the a51 doesnt matter. I go it last christmas. and didn't run it for a few months. The leds are still quality. producing the same par and cri as the newer ones.
the newer 18w cree globes at home depot have the x-pg's. They're one watters so.. I think they still make them.
@Eraserhead I'm up for some testing when ever. Just let me know. If not, oh well, no biggie.

I used to have a partner that worked with me at A51, he was a 30% partner, his name was Eric, a friend since we were like 8 years old. He had seen Pet on another forum, and thought he'd be a good tester, but this was before BML gave him a free light, and we all know how that turned out.... I contacted Pet and said "WHEN THE NEW LIGHT COMES OUT, WE'RE CONSIDERING YOU FOR A FREE UNIT". That's all. Considering.
Pet from there emailed us at least once per day, "Is it ready yet?" "Is it ready yet?" "Is it ready yet?" "Is it ready yet?" Mixed in with other emails that had links to weird websites, not sure if it was for those magnet things or those giant Tinker Toys he plays with in his "grow room", but I do not click on links that aren't accompanied with an explanation as to why I need to visit that site.
Well, after weeks of hounding us "Is it ready yet?" I offered to send him 2 throw away UFOs that I had, to more or less shut him up. I used USPS and got tracking. He complained that USPS always messes up and that I should have used something different, and I told him we use USPS and never had any issues like he was saying. After a couple days, not long enough a package to arrive from the distance of where I shipped it from, to Pet's address, which is over 1000 miles, 15h 43m according to Mapquest, I get another email that was nothing short of rude, it was a long scathing email, is his fancy blue text, on how we weren't coming through on those 2 free UFOs.
To end it all, once he did get the UFOs, I never got a thank you, or even an acknowledgement that he got them, I learned that they arrived when I checked the tracking, and were there for a few days already, and no word from Pet.
With all that said, I decided to put Pet's email on my auto-purge list, meaning when he sends an email, it goes directly to the trash and immediately deleted from there, automatically. I never see it. He could still be sending emails for all I know, probably is.

I have Kessil LED spots. Pai am going by actual watts used not output equivalent. So total I have 300 watts total with all of 5 lights running in a 2X2.5.

300w is probably saturation level...i think you should take 1 away.
Why don't you move up to 5 gallon or even 7 instead of just two in 3 gallon? Or 4 3 gallon?

If someone were going to give me free stuff I doubt I'd refer to anything about that as a shortcoming on their part.
IMO, you're making this worse for yourself. I would choose to move on. I agree that Jeff doesn't suffer fools lightly. But, finding yourself in the fool category after someone with Jeff's standards offers to give you something... the more you talk the worse you look.

Your recollection, is not exactly true. How am I supposed to thank you when you trashed my emails, and failed to return numerous telephone messages? Also, anyone who follows led threads can attest to how many times I have given you props for sending them > 50, including several other gro sites, and how many times I recommended A51 in spite of you not responding. Why? You were the only mid-priced led light designed with mj growers in mind. That ship has sailed.

BML reached out to me in MARCH, a long time from our November conversations/promise, and no, my recollection is you never said 'considering', and now you're waffling on YOUR challenge to provide your new model against Amare Techs model.
