That's because it's detached from yours, is my guest.

If you perceive that I have disregard for any all threats, you could not be more wrong. Whether it's jihadists, economic collapse, plague, anarchy, or even herds of buffalo, it's my belief that the U S is racing towards collapse.

Check current public opinion polls - the majority of citizens feel that way. 'Going to hell in a handbasket' was how tha ABC poll asked the question. Now, I never have a need to be in a majority regarding my opinions, as my continued participation here demonstrates. But that poll is noted in response to your attempt to marginalize my pov. ;)
Thats why I asked what you would like to see as a form of gov't, might not be long before we have to decide. You kinda only half answered by saying you werent happy (not surprising as are most) but what would you lime to see in ots place?

Considering how most Americans get their "news" this poll of yours comes as no surprise.

People sitting on their sofa staring at FOX News, with a bag of trans-fat laddened chips on their lap, and a loaded unlocked gun sitting on the bed stand... worried about Muslim jihadists in America coming to behead them. Ha!

PS: Why do you insist on crossing out the text in your posts?? :-)

See but thats the thing about ideals, they are strived fpr but rarely eber attained. Doesn't mean you shouldn't shoot for the moon just dont be surprised when you aren't seeing the crater fom your hit. Basically just saying be the change you want to see, call me a dreamer but dreamer/political idealist make shit happen.
Honestly, I understand ideals. I also understand time restraints. There's just not the time, or the willingness of all the tribes, to effect the changes you dream of.

Bottom line, amigo. There's no willingness to work together from the various tribes, much less even in the tribes themselves.

Seeing as society didn't collapse and the sky didn't fall during the recession, I'm pretty sure we are fine. Plus I don't know what polls you are taking about as CCI shows more optimism now and it's growing.

I think you are more of a "feelings" guy than a facts guy.

I unserstand where you are coming from with that because most atre sfraid to stray from the party and reach across the aisle. Its pretty despicable how everything just get jammed up because of an unwillingness to talk about the issues with the other party

As if that's any better... the same people that say the sky is falling are still spending and going to work and shopping all is good and people are/can be hypocrites/dumb

OK.....let me try once more - I'm really not avoiding your question. You're asking me to describe something I spend no time thinking about, and here's why, or at least, off the top of my head:

it's too late. A new and better gov't that fairly represents a happy, non-violent, united, and sublime populace that is free from threats inside and out is....not possible, and therefore, I put forward no utopia gov't idea. OK ?

I think it's all a front. These issues that divide us are trotted out as a distraction.

Both parties are bought and paid for by corporate interests. I honestly feel that if a politician were to stand up to the big players and shine a light on all of the shady back room dealings, that person would meet an untimely death.

Nah not death, they'd never get to the backroom if they couldn't play ball in the first place.

Oh just another little example of injustice in our justice system

Swamp land times? Really? You do know how to judge the validity of a source and how to weigh one right?

And no, I don't read Huffington post, a bunch of shit from that site. My comments are based on economic indicators. Any societal collapse will have economic consequences which have been well documented. There is not a single indication that's the road we are going down.

Surely you also know about framing questions as well right? That's why polls such as these are "feelings", if I'm going to go by "feelings" I'll go based on quantifiable economic and behavior ones.

Speaking of trans fat, thought our nanny state was fixing to ban trans fat? Honestly feel the same way about trans fat that I do cigs, or most things really. Take the money you would have spent controlling the thing in question and simply educate people to its harm. C. Everett Koop for example knew with the amount of tobacco money flooding washington it would never be made illegal but they couldn't stop him from starting a info campaign to educate people about the dangers of smoking.
