Grow Rack

I know most just string string and hang and will argue that it is better than a rack, but a rack accommodates my space so I built one. Now, I have a table saw, drill press, and nail gun and they are an advantage. Having a table saw or a friend with one is almost required. A regular hand drill can be used instead of a press and the nail gun is just used to tack things prior to screwing. I will start by throwing these pictures out here. If there is someone who asks for the Step-by-step tutorial I will add it.

Added the other two trays I made. The unit actually had room for 6 (one above the top tray in picture and one more on bottom). I'll add one more picture of it just stacked for storage soon.

Thats a nice rack man:clap:
Hey! Thanks. Really did like how the ropes worked out. My flower room will become the drying room so I am thinking I will take down the light and use the eyebolts in the ceiling that normally hold the light, to hold the rack.. With your name you might like my 69 hours of darkness thread in the newbie section. Can't wait to load the rack up with those goodies.

Thought I had already posted this here...Here is the rack all packed up and ready to travel or be stored (getting a bag made to store it in as soon as I determine whether I need 5 and/or 6 trays to hold what my room produces.)
Hanging-rope and toggle nails stored in-between. String threaded through hanging-rope, holes and tied to keep things together...again once I determine final number of trays I plan to thread a metal rod to slide through the hanging-rope, holes to keep unit tightly stacked.

image.jpg Just a little update...although I am still using my drying rack as such I converted it so I can "string hang" also. I forgot to take a picture when it was full, but here is the first test. So, in addition ro the 2'x2' screen each rack now provides 7' of string hanging capability.

In the past I have used panty hose over a bike tire, insect mesh over picture frames, but I have falling back to my old and favorite method, of rows of fishing twine 4 inches apart, the length of the dry room with a little pc fan motor under....on a timer to move that air!
I still dot think paying $30-40 for the correct deal is too much ..like $15-25 is ok

I agree. The parts for mine were in supply though and I like to tinker.
