Awe, makes a rational person ask, how did the Arctic ice cap grow so much from 1905 to 1980 when nasa took these satellite photos. One thing that is indisputable is the fact co2 levels have risen dramatically since then.
There's one thing the alarmists cannot manipulate and that is history.
Do you think its the storm, or do you think its because there just happens to be more stuff and more people living there to get damaged?
A massive storm 3 times the size of Katrina hit Texas in 1803, but since no one lived there, not much damage was done.
Which is worse? The storm with 400 MPH winds that destroyed a camp site and killed one person, or the Storm with 120 mph winds that flooded 400,000 homes and killed 50?
You just can't use monetary damage as the yardstick by which to measure weather severity.

One could do that, but there would have to be another parameter to account for the lack of population (i.e. infrastructure) as a function of time. Essentially a weighting factor.
Don't kid yourself, an economist will find a way to attach a dollar figure to the lives of cavemen.
If one had Flora/Fauna, and water, it could be normalized to "median income".
If one had Fire, they were upper middle-class.

Oh but it does, NASA predicted a potential extremely active hurricane season for 2013, so a one year measurement of the year 2013 is the only data needed, unless you can say there are multiple 2013's. The bottom line is, NASA needs to stop making predictions they just can't back up, they've been wrong on many, many accounts.
