Ok I just looked up Violator Kush and it's suppose to be a 8 to 9 week strain. Same length as mine and you germed 2 days after me. You must have some problems going on or it's not what you say it is. Could you have a light leak or maybe they mixed up what they sent you.

I'm not accusing anyone, but if there is a light leak, it kinda breaks the 12/12 F.S. rule.... In retrospect, I agree that either way, finishing in January is not cool.... It'll be hard to vote for such a late finisher unless its something really fuckin nice.... What makes it worse for you though is, a lot of people will be done voting by the time you finish....

Alpine seeds has a mostly sativa violator kush that goes 78 days,even if that is what you have your pics look like your way behind that. I wasn't joking when I said January,I think you have some problem going on.

You finished within a reasonable timeframe, related to the rest of the contestants.

Whether the comp finishes in Nov. or Dec. isnt a big deal to me...whats an extra month? But, really...this should be wrapped before year's end at the very latest. It impacts the timing of future comps. Its why Sandy was greatly encouraging people to use strains that had reasonable flowering times in the first place.

from the beginning of the germination window (8-1-14) til the EARLIEST that you'll be cutting (1-1-15) is
FIVE MONTHS
in 5 months most of knock down at least 2 crops, even some of the people who grow from seed with a few weeks of veg time can knock down 2 crops in FIVE MONTHS.... More than likely you'll finish near the end of January, which means you will have had six months. I germinated at the end of the window and still will be down before the 3 month mark, with about a half ounce of top shelf smoke.... Nothing personal, but I think the weed gods fucked you over when they were giving out phenotypes....

I think that if the shoe were on the other foot, I personally would throw in the towel and get something ready for the next competition. Then when the germination window opens, I'd be the first person to pop beans.....

Sorry about picking a strain that I had zero clue about going in and was a freebie out of 4 others.

I know, I understand the situation. Its just bothersome how quickly some people were to start bashing on my personal skills due to a plant not deciding if it was ready or not, when the schedule of lights has been 12/12 from birth

My question is, is there going to be a set date then? By early December would seem reasonable in light of my stepping out.

Regardless, good luck to everyone, I will be ready for the next one with a strain I know more about

I dont think anyone was trying to attack you or your skills personally. But you being a lone wolf to finish does no one any favors because people who run full rooms might say f it and not compete next tine because they want to fill in their space. Again nothing personal but it is the gentlemanly thing to do so I do appreciate you backing out.

Your list looks about right to me, nice job.
My girl is right around week 6 of flower, at the moment, so she'll be harvested before the month ends.

78 days is flower time.. I don't see how he is that far behind. Mine is an 8 weeker. It hasn't even been 8 weeks of flower time yet. Mine is around day 70. Minus 12/12 veg time 3 weeks. Mine technically is at around day 47 of flower. If his has 3- 4 weeks left thats much longer..

Mine looks like it finishing early as well. at 50 days of flower
