Presidents are held responsible for what happens during their term, just like Lincoln freed the slaves, Wilson created the Federal Reserve, Hoover for the Great Depression, FDR for the New Deal, Truman for nuking Japan, Nixon for the drug war, JFK for landing on the Moon, etc. This is not new information.. W. for 9/11 & Katrina, Obama for ACA & Sandy

Sandy was the second most costly hurricane on record on the Atlantic coast, Katrina being number one.. It cost $71 billion & 286 lives at was category 3, dafuq are you talking about "just a storm"?

Sandy was barely a tropical storm when it hit.

Again landing in traditional democrat areas and the local governments weren't prepared for a storm.

Presidents aren't responsible for the weather and how local governments react to it.

I fully realize post Katrina it is now going to be something they will try to handle.

If that's the case then does Adams get credit for the hurricane that prevented the British from totally ransacking our capital in the war of 1812?

I think Obama has started/ headed a shitty trend of blaming the other party and ostracizing half the nation.

I don't remember the blaming being quite as bad in the past. Don't get me wrong, obviously the president is/will be party affiliated, so they have their parties wishes at heart, but it sure seems like Obama has vilified and blamed so much more on the republicans than in the past.

I just don't remember every time I saw Reagan or Bush sr or Clinton make a speech hearing them slander their opponents.
Almost every speech the dude makes attacks half the country for their values- you'd think that somewhere a political mind in his office would have said "dude, stop badmouthing everything they do, it's going to backfire on your ass at some point."
