My hat is off to you bro. :clap:We truly appreciate you taking the time to stop by and share with us your amazing mind(patience) and your exciting fixture. I said i was going to create me an ultime grow fixture that will give promising results. So are you still working with those fixies or are you doing other projects?
Thank you,i appreciate the hospitality. You made a super sweet fixture yourself.
The big one in the middle i've been using for almost two yrs.The twin smaller ones on the ends i've been using for about one year.I plan on keeping these forever, maybe upgrading with led bulbs.
The fixture in my avatar is a good one too, its just heavy. It has pumped out a few nice plants by itself.

I agree with gardian very nice! I had built sumthin close to that but I promise u it wasn't like that lol everytime id touch mine it would cut the shit outta me on sharp edges (had to cut flashing with tin snips that r almost to convince me their pliers more than snips due to dullness) and had mine setup for 100mh+150hps but then my hps ate shit so there went that but anyway sweet setup friend and I agree 100% to all those who think of cfl grow as a joke it's all about the mobility IMO best lightin source I've grown with I'm die hard cfl now

I was able to cut the metal with heavy duty scissors .
Fold the edges over to get rid of sharp edges and it adds stiffness too.

Tho when using cfl's I prefer the vertical method

the tiny ballast in many cfl units over heats,(built in fuck up) killing the bulb

avoid this by spacing them 4 inches apart min:

largely dead tech now,

better go led for brighter and more responsive light

even more if you remove the lens cover

good luck

Totally. I took some PAR readings of some common bulbs, both CFL and led to give some reference:

23w can be replaced with ~8w led bulb so that is close to a 200% increase in potential intensity for the same watts. These set ups get a nice upgrade as consumer tech improves.
