First indoor soil harvest - need opinions

Hello all!

I am just finishing up my first indoor soil grow (*fist pump*), and I was looking for some info/opinions on a few things.

I am growing mainly organic in Happy Frog with 400w (true watts - about 27,000 lumens) of CFLs in a 3x3 space. My ladies are in 2 gallon grow bags with some light amendments. I plan to upgrade to a 600w HPS at my soonest convenience, but that is another topic.

I am working with a True Og Kush pheno that I am absolutely in love with. It doesn't yield as much as others I have grown, but the resin production is remarkable.

I have never grown this strain indoors before, and I am coming into my 9th week of flower (true flowering weeks, not just from 12/12). I started flushing them about a week ago, and I am currently sitting at around 15% clear - 70% milky - 15% amber trichomes. White pistils are disappearing, calyxes are swollen, and they fricking STINK. Buds are getting heavy enough the branches can't support them.

My inquiry is: I am not seeing much yellowing of my leaves. Some leaves are yellowing, but the plant as a whole is just trucking on along green as can be. Is this normal in indoor OG Kush? Could it be my soil composition is keeping them green even without any organics being added? The only thing I have been giving them for over a week is ph balanced molasses water. Yet here they are, green and smiling at me, lol.

I have taken some sample buds and sun-dried them outside and sampled them. The stone is pretty mild but it's also fairly instant and long-lasting. More of the giggles than a couch-lock. They taste good (for being sun-dried for 8 hours, lol) and they burn to a clean white ash. So far everything seems on the right path, except they just aren't yellowing off.

Do you all think I should give them the chop before I get too much more amber (since they will continue to amber while drying anyways), or should I wait for the leaves to finish off? I really don't want to take them too long and have them start foxtailing and the trichs degrading on me.

(I will try to get a few pictures up. This is my first post, so bear with me and wish me luck figuring this out, lol.)

The second pick is showing how bad they lean when they aren't being supported, lol. You can see the top fans yellowing (and also where I deprived them of nutes for too long, lol), and the bottoms getting a yellow-green color going... but everything else is as green as can be. Sugar leaves are still very healthy, so I dunno.

Thanks everyone!

Again, it's my first indoor grow... so any constructive criticism is welcome. Just go easy on my girls, it wasn't their fault :weed:

Pic two is done. Pic one needs another week ish id say. Are they the same plant from one mother?? Are the tricombes at the same stage on both plants? Because one looks like more time and one looks done.

Oh, btw, they look fine. When they hang over youve done a good job. When they break the branches you know itll be a good harvest after you tie everything else to the ceiling :):):)

No they all came from a seed stock that I have had saved from an original OG Kush pheno that I bred outdoors in Tennessee and tried to stabilize. I have 7 of them all-together in my tent, but these are the 2 that are about ready to come down first. The first pic was taken 2 or 3 days ago, and the one that's on lean was taken last night. My lights just came on about an hour ago so I haven't gotten any pics tonight yet.

The plant in the first pic is about 5-10% amber (or was last night) so it's about 2 days behind my other one. It's just that if I find out I let the other one go too long, then I know the first would be about ready because of the time difference.

Thanks dude :bigjoint:

This is my first indoor grow, and I did it using 300w of CFLs up until about week 6 when I added another 100w. I have to say that the buds are pretty damn chunky considering I topped them to get some quick clones and it's basically all side-branch buds grown under CFLs.

I can't wait to see how the strain does with the 600w HPS when I finally upgrade this winter :weed:

Fuck ya, 300-400 watts of cfls. Thats bad ass for that sized colas. That 600 will smash it outta the park then for sure. Hell, toss the cfls in there too if the a/c will take it. ;)
Theres a certain look to a plant when its done and one of those just doesnt have it ya know? That one looks ready, one not so much. Could be the fact that their from seed. It happens. Which reminds me. I have some seeds to sprout :D huckleberry kush from a local breeder. Im pretty excited. Ya know, even if you hacked them both down tomorrow theyd probably still be good smoke, personally id wait for the one just because impo, too long is better tasting than early.

I'll try to get some pics from the tent tonight to show you how they are looking at present. Like I said that first picture was taken about 2 days ago and the white pistils have all but disappeared and its about 5-10% amber atm.

And thanks for the props on the plants. Each cola right now is about the size of a small fist and rock hard. I grabbed it by the sugar leaves few days ago and gave it the ol' squeeze test and I'll be damned if it didn't pass with flying colors.

I have one out of the seven that didn't get quite as large in the cola department. It is a much more sativa-like pheno, that one. I will take some pictures tomorrow when I get them out of the tent to water the other 5 for the last time. I am very proud of the strain. Not bad for a backwoods hillbilly from BFE, lol. I might be able to teach these Cali folks a thing or two.

I think I've decided to side with you and let them go until the soil dries out. When the leaves start hanging, I'll hang her up to dry.

Thanks again for the reply and opinion. I didn't know what to expect out of this first grow. I was just seeing if the strain would even make it indoors. These cheapo CFLs sure worked some magic though. I can only imagine was a 600w will do when I'm shooting out 70,000 lumens instead of 27,000 lol!
