Problem with trichomes

Hello. I've never done anything like this before (post and grow) and I have a question re: my Northern Lights plant. Being my first grow, I have made many mistakes and didn't expect it to even BUD but it did and now it looks like my plant is going to die and the trichomes are only 50% cloudy and a lot of clear. I understand that autoflowers have a short lifespan, but is it possible for my plant to die before buds are fully matured?

Just ask anyone in the sick plant forum, post a pic, so 'we' may see!

She is on day 80 ... thinking I need at least 2 more weeks or just let her go till she dies...I was hoping for amber/milky trichomes for my meds. 3 gal. pot, almost 24 in. tall. Appreciate any advice from you...

This depends on your choice of 'stone' for the easy trippy full on high stay with the clear trics, for the couch lock vegging on the home theatre buzz(me) go for amber trics, but really does a plant go all at once, so as the trics color the choice is yours, but first I'd give her a good flush just to tidy up, and give her some peace
to my blog on the flush and some hints on AF to power you on!

Let the hairs all dry up to get her bud to the maximum size/density. Autos can live in the flowering stage a lot longer than people think. Cutting too early will kill the potency.

I think you're OK here. I currently have a Northern Lights, Blue auto (delicious seeds) around day 72. This is the 2nd time I've grown this particular strain as an auto. Both times, a lot of yellowing in the fan leaves after 60 days or so, but that's all right. They've served their purpose and that just may be a characteristic of this particular strain. BTW, I use FFOF mixed with FF Happy Frog mixed with perlite as a medium, appx. equal portions of each. No additional nutes until flowers develop, usually somewhere around Day 30 to Day 40. Then I use the FF water soluble trio of flowering nutes (Open Sesame, Beastie Bloom, ChaChing) at about 1/2 strength of what I use outdoors.

The first time I grew this, I ended up waiting until the plant LOOKED FINISHED to harvest, instead of waiting for a desirable clear/cloudy/amber trich ratio. It went to 102 days before harvest. At that time, ALL the trichs were either clear or cloudy, none were amber. I've heard that some autos never develop amber trichs. This may be the case. At any rate, after a jar cure, the bud ended up being good. Nothing to write home about, but it does the trick. The delicious seeds Northern Lights Blue strain is touted as low smell. Great for growing indoors, but not a real sharp or distinct taste either.

FWIW, the conventional wisdom concerning autos is:
Don't transplant
Don't top
LST OK

ETA: Upon re-reading this, I didn't mean to make the post about me. Just relating my experience with the same strain as a way of giving you some peace of mind.

That is what I needed to here! Whew! Thank you ! I'm new so I don't know too much about nutes but I stopped feeding her super-bloom nutes over a week ago...just water and a little honey now. They must be still growing because their pots (3 gallon) are bone dry in 2 - 3 days! I have 2 others (B. Lee autos) planted at the same time but leaves aren't as yellow as the Northern Lights.

After a month I finally invested in proper lighting, a 4 x 4 x 7 grow tent and intake/exhaust fans and started up a couple of AK48's and Master Crush...they are freaken little monsters! Thick stalk and stems but I did top and super crop them and are responding well. I have been feeding them 1/2 strength miracle grow and liquid bat guano. Its getting a bit crowded in the tent so I'm anxious to harvest soon! Here are some pics of my grow set up. Using LED 10 band full spectrum so I can veg and flower in the same room. Mahalo again guys!20141108_120848.jpg20141108_120907.jpg
