I have a couple cans of primer left over from a job, primer doesn't seem to have any scheen to it, would it be considered a "flat" paint?

Yes it would and it does not seal. If you want a good seal, use a sanding primer before paint to seal up the pores in wood. I just put that in there in case you were painting wood.

Flat white is flat white. For my flower closet I just bought the cheapest flat white paint I could find. The kind you would use to paint the closet in a rental house . For about $6 , I can repaint several times. I have been using the same closet for 5 years now. No problems with my results. Keep it simple.

Yes it is plywood I plan on using it on. I'm just going to buy some flat white to keep the tanins from bleeding through.
