I harvest when my hairs are a little less than 50%. I have tried over flowering, under flowering and my best results have always been when the hairs are around 50/50.
Thanks alot bro. I really appreciate the help. This will be my first fully-ripened harvest so I got my fingers crossed lol lol. Growing XXX OG KUSH & GDP this run.

What strain are you growing? What kind of high are you looking for?

If your growing more of a sativa strain, you will probably want to flush sooner then later and chop when majority of trichs are cloudy before they start deteriorating and turning amber. That should give you the sativa "up" high.

If your growing more of an indica strain and looking for the couchlock stone. Then your going to want it to ripen up more and get some amber.

From what I understand thc content will hit it's peak and then over ripening will cause a lower thc and higher cbn content. Cbn is the what gives the sleepy effect of cannabis.

Plants will continue to produce new trichomes up until a certain point, so you will never get them all at their peak... that's why so much debate over when to harvest.

When the heads turn a milky white color, the THC is fully formed. When they start turning amber, it's degrading into other substances.

The question is whether you want more clear and milky to keep it an up high, or more of a milky and amber to give you more of a "I don't want to move" stone.

Even if you let the plant go to 30% amber, you will still see a few clear heads every here and there simply because the plant continues to produce small amounts of trichomes as it ripens off. In the end it's all personal preference. The same strain harvested at two different times can give to different high profiles. It will still be similar, but certain effects will be stronger than others.

Thus the heavy 50/50 high.

20 liters is over 5 gallons.

No way in hell I'm wasting 5 gallons per plant. You absolutely do not need to flush that much.

And especially no way am I flushing with 5 gallons, waiting 15 minutes, and then flushing with another 5 gallons. The hell?...
What r u in the desert lol

Wait for tell tale signs, pistils will mostly brown or redden all over. WAIT! Calyxes will swell around pistils. WAIT! Pistils will shrink back into calyxes and kinda shrivel up a bit. HARVEST!!! You can get into trichomes if you want. I just wait for the plant to finish. Biggest newbie mistake is to harvest a couple weeks early. A waste of a 3-4 month investment.

Holy shit. When your plants turn brown and fall over. The time is prime. especially with the added flavor of budrot.

At least a week. You still have about 50% white pistils. Even without seeing your trichs it's pretty easy to tell that plant has some fattening up to do.

Patience grasshopper.

If anything I might start cutting back your nutes now and getting ready to flush in the next week or so... but that cola can get a bit bigger.
