Someone please explain this to me

Hey guys,

I hope everyone is doing well today. I have a question and I am hoping someone could help me out. The strain is OG Kush, bought from dinafem, fem seed. The plant is only three weeks old, but yet I see pistills out the top of plant.........but look how small this plant is! It's about 6 inches from the root, and 3 inches wide. If you compare my hand to the size of the plant, you'll see what I am talking about (I am no Andre the Giant either). I think I have been doing everything right. It's receiving 110 Watts from Day Light Bulbs, I feed only when the soil is dry, water only till this point, temp is about 77-79 with a small electronic fan providing some wind, 35-40% humidity. I have a Bubba Kush strain growing in the same conditions and it's 6-7 inches wide and 10 inches from root, but no pistills. I know she (I hope it's a shit, and not a She-IT) has a bit of burn on the leaves, the light was a little close but I gave it some distance. What do you guys think? It started showing pistills a week ago and it was getting the 18/6 treatment. Will this thing flower? Is it just a runt?10807116_10103002529314220_722061313_n.jpg

all depends on how hard she starts to flower mate

It`s not uncommon when using more blue light during veg to have plants sex but check your food make sure your giving good levels of nitrogen

Then if she just starts to flower out and not grow I would either just chuck her in to bloom or I`d use some GA3 to get her vegging again

Do check that the roots are growing ok as I sometimes see root growth stop and then the plant just flowers and will not grow anymore roots

Happens every now and then you get a small one fire off early and there`s not much you can do to get them to veg up

just leave her be and see if she carry's on vegging at-least you know the sex

Thank you for the response. It just surprises me that I have the Bubba in the same conditions, an Indica strain that I expected to be smaller and take longer to grown, and it's blowin' up. She is getting taller and wider every day. I for sure though the OG would beat her to the punch. I think my next grow I will combine the lights from both boxes into one grow space and focus on one plant. I can give double the light and I won't have to worry about both ladies at once.

OG`s normally shock easy they can be leggy when you go into flower too

Their plus side is that they normally make nice big end nugs and not much leaf and OG is popular for its taste so lots of people grow it

But a good old bubble gum kush would grow well they`ll normally be more uniform too

Best way to grow good OG is by clone or put in extra seeds and only flower/clone the best ones

I would not put her under 24hour light as that can hermi them and og`s shock really easy

You might do better changing your day light bulb out to a warm white as that will be better at breaking down the flowing hormones

The down side is that you normally get less side branching if you veg with a redder light

but that`s what I`d try or even try adding a warm white light to the mix, but watch your temps no point shocking that OG

and he had pics of his 3" plant in full bloom..lol...........he said "some people are born big and some are born small"

he got about a gram...ha

I think I'm right on track with competing with this guy. All I have to do is grow over a gram.
