I HATE winter anymore
...nothing but more pain for me. Luckily I have some heavy hitting Indicas to soothe me at the end of the day when I can barely walk anymore. Oh yeah, STAIRS suck too!
Here a couple pics of some of my metal work, (with me the rest of my life) Maybe they can pawn it when I die.
i dont have any metal in me. But i did have a tumor removed from inside my spinal cord. in doing that they also had to removed some bone to get to the tumor in order to get to the spot where my tumor was. also have a compressed disc thats factured. I am going thru massive amounts of pain daily. I am a lineman working for at&t and they do random drug tests. I was popped 4 randoms last year.
i think they caught me one time because it was 14 days prior from me smoking some queen green for my back pain. stuff really works man. its the only strain i have read about and tried that helps with spinal cord injury and back pain.
its equivalent of taking 2 oxycodone 10 mg for pain just with one bowl.
iv tried lot of strains and the only thing that came close was blueberry if hydro.

I wasn't really a fan of staring at these pins all day long for 4 months. This was my 2nd surgery, removing the herbert screw I had in my scaphoid bone. Picture was taken at dr office while i got my cast changed.

i dont have any pics but i have metal in my leg. plenty of knee surgeries ect. all from racing motocross lol. gotta toke it up to help the pain.

I herniated 5 disc's in my back, spinal stenosis, sciatica due to my thecal sack pancaking, and degenerative disc disease now...awesome times...my first surgery was the ladder. 2 6" rods and 14 screws...6 months later, im back at work for 2 weeks and SNAP! there goes something....2 titanium screws, you guessed it snapped in half...back out of work and back in the doc's...
4 months later, new surgery...33 year old doctor, nike shocks, h3 on rims...little nervous lol...
cut my stomach open, moved some organs, put 4" plate in front of my spine. closed me up, rolled me over cut open my back, fixed the 2 screws and did another fushion, i have bones from 3 dead people in me now lol. spent first 2 nights out of surgery in icu...
next morning they made me walk around and i couldnt feel my feet...8 days later im at home, and went from 120 mg oxy 30's, 30 mg methadone, and a bunch of other shit for my nerves (gabapentin/neurontin) to a 72hr fentynal patch and 50 micrograms of morphine...we did this surgery to fix the screws as well as to help me get off the meds...it worked
its been 6.5 months, and im officially opiate free...i take some muscle relaxers when i need to sleep, the neurontin i take so it can remove the blow torch from my legs, but im getting used to that, and i smoke alot...thanks you mmj and a big fuck you to where i live...ill dig up my pics when i get home

OUCH! That's crazy! Good to hear you are doing better now though! Based on my little surgery, i can't imagine how much pain you must have had to go through. Congrats on being opiate free, that shit will kill you from the inside out if you take it long term.
My wife's Surgery, She is not an MMJ user yet, but will be, on Fentanyl patches while pregnant. NOT COOL. our child will have withdrawals, lesson learned...
She slipped over age 22 landed hard on her arse with a twisted torso, (gym exercise Trunk twists) blew L5-s1 which is fused with screws, and l4-l5 had a Maverick artificial disc. The surgery worked, then 13months post surgery something happened while at work (earthquake Drill) and now there is a slight nerve encroachment on the L4 nerve roots, so the pain that had been relieved has come back.

I've got 12 screws 6 plates and 2 rods holding my head on!
(full cervical fusion) now they want to start on my upper spine,
more hardware. I've been on oxy for 9 yrs. and weed is the only
help with break through pain, And I've tried them all, been going to a pain
specialist and the state makes them piss test me for weed and any non-
prescribed substance.
I say let the lawmaker's live with our pain for one week, we will get what ever it takes then!
My x-rays look just like a toy train track is screwed in my neck.

Very interesting thread. I work in the field of medical imaging (sorry that's as specific as I can be) and I find it fascinating.

with L2,3,4 disks blown, hay what else can go wrong?
Still pumping me with steroids that is raising hell with my blood sugar.

I am about to have a discectomy, lamenectomy and fusion at C5-6 and C6-7 and they will likely redo my prior fusion of C4-5. I am so thankful for the affordable care act..without it I would be fucked. I also got a biopsy coming from what the urologist said was "highly likely to be cancer" next Tuesday. I quit smoking 5 years ago.

I smoke cigarettes myself and think it's strange that cigarette smoking can cause bladder cancer (I'm assuming they did a bladder biopsy)

I should have said this earlier, and feel horrible that I didn't: Good luck and I hope you get good news. I'm glad that you have health insurance. I hope it's not cancer, but cancer treatment has come a long way and I really hope things go well for you. My mother got breast cancer twice and my father had kidney cancer. I smoked two packs a day for 30 years. I am not saying that smoking caused anything I have..just ironic I guess

I'm not even sure how I stumbled upon this thread, but it sent shivers down my spine. I apparently have a shit ton of hardware in me, and I feel obligated to share.
Broken ankle in 2008, my foot was bent sideways after a pool incident.
And then the big, life changing incident. Neck injury in 2011 left me paralyzed from the neck down. Spinal stenosis caused the severity of the accident, but thankfully it was an incomplete spine injury (no break) and I have since recovered almost all ability. I had a spinal fusion with laminectomy done at C3-C6 with lots of hardware to keep me intact. It is the number once source of the pain I feel every moment of my life now. A constant, droning and persistent, almost sore like sensation from shoulder to shoulder, and my neck down to my lower back. Thank the Earth for cannabis!!!
