i'm about to start a new coco grow. i'm thinking about using advanced ph perfect nutes for coco. i was wondering if anyone has experience with the stuff. if it works well, it'll really make growing in coco a breeze.

There is one person i have seen hyping this product on the forum, however there was too much inconsistency in his argument for it to be taken seriously and his argument held little credibility.
I have used various lines claiming they have automatic ph magic, it always proved itself to be a load of bollocks. Never really seen the reason though, ph'ing your mix takes seconds.

thanks for the input. ya, ph'ing isn't all that time consuming, but i like to get mine to a perfect 5.8, so it sometimes takes a few min. sounds like the guy ur referring to might have been into sales, lol...

I tend not to bother "calling people out", as it just discredits your argument, but it did seem that way, an unnatural desire to promote the product.
When i started growing i would aim for a perfect ph, but after about a year i gave up, and so long as it was close enough, job done. Never effected yield or quality.

They only claim ph perfect when you use there exact feed .. 4ml per liter.. At which your ppms would be high as fuck and your plants will burn. I use advanced ph perfect.. After I make my feed my ph is at 6.4 ish. I use sunshine mix#4 .. When I check my run off it comes out at about 6.1.. So I do not use ph down most of the time because 6.1 is chill

House and garden coco is real nice. Never used advanced so cant say on those.

I love using. Canna coco a and b. along with cannas rhizoctonic,cannazyme,canna boost,and PKU 13/14 works great. I mix up two gals at a time as I hand water my ladies And before I add any ph up or down. I'm usually at a ph of 6.0 to6.2. An I adjust from there but. For a company that doesn't claim to have ph adjusting neutrients they get pretty damn close to it in my opinion. Plus I can't argue with the results n yields I'm allways impressed

I personally don't use coco. I have a soil medium that I use that's works good for me. Coco has a problem with locking out nutrients. I have never used sensi coco but I know they have changed the formula a couple times (improving it I'm guessing) I think it keeps it from locking out nutrients.

Haha coco it's all your fault. My bad it holds onto some nutrients, like magnesium but you can correct this by adding extra. Which I'm sure coco nutes already do.

Hmmm. Goes to show some shit works for sum n not others. I never run into any major issues with my choice of coco medium n my choice in coco specific nuets. I'm allways sitting on happy healthy girls

I used Canna coco line (Coco A+B, rhizotonic, pk 13-14, cannaboost and cannazym )for 4 years with amazing results and 2 friends of mine too. I used different acids that i found at certain shops to lower the pH (phosphoric acid, citric acid and have seen with my own eyes a biologist friend of mine using very well diluted strong acids like hydrochloric to lower the pH with no negative outcomes on his plants!!! So we could avoid buying the expensive pH down and buy ourselves a packet of citric acid that they sell it in most supermarkets as it is used in food preperation and just dilute small parts in a small bottle and add from that to lower the pH)I was very much satisfied by it but I have not used advanced nutrient products to compare it. In order to compare the nutrients you need to have 2 sets of plants, clones so you know they have the same genes, under exactly the same conditions (light, air, water, feed, medium) and just feeding them with the different sets of hydroponics on the recommended EC and pH values. The experience level plays a very important role as well, so the experiment needs to be done by the same person. Only after i do this or someone else does this and see the results i could say which one of them is the best to use.

At a tablespoon of each part per gallon of water (close enough to 4ml. per liter) is about 1.2 - 1.3 EC. Assuming your tap water has a zero EC. Mine doesnt. Its 0.2 so final at recommended bottle dilution instructions its comes out to 1.4 - 1.5 EC. Just right for coco coir growing. I dont know about thier pH Perfect claims. When I used Sensi Grow & Bloom for Coco I still had to use just a touch of pH down. But I used just the base nutes and grew a very nice potent crop. It was just one run. I dont use Advanced anymore. Just wanted to see what the hype/controversy was about. Works as well as any onther coco coir specific base nutrient brand. Ive used quite alot of them if not all of them at one time or another. Old thread. I know. I dont care.

Most base nutrient brands have pH buffers in them. Just not as radical as Advanced. And most will put most common tap water (7 - 8 pH) at bottle instruction dilution at 6.2 to 6.5 pH. Depending on medium your growing in you should only need just a tad of pH down (coco coir) if at all (i.e.Promix , Sunshine, peat soilless mixes. etc.)
