Toward the back of my 12 acres in the WV mountains, just off off of 259 and 12. I have a 36x48 workshop. Not too huge, but enough to do what I need. It's a bitch to heat, we have a Polar Bear Vortex thing or whatever it's called going on right now..... It's kinda chilly right now.
Where's your company based out of?

Ahh, twelve acres of country land I'm assuming? How's the soil like out there?

Sounds like a proper layout for your sort of operation.

If my memory serves me correctly, you have a staff of under five individuals? I'm guessing their not all helping build alongside the master (which I take is you)?

2' x 2'.....100w cob....8 ".....

You should burn a hole through the canopy just fine without a reflector...

Reflectors are more for taller spaces where you can raise the light high enough to get a good footprint.

The usefulness is debatable too. I go back and forth between using them and not...
I am not trying to concentrate the beam. I am trying to spread it out to reduce height between light and canopy.a convex lens or bat wing lens may do this. I have also considered making a cone shaped mirrored reflector to reflect the light in a larger pattern.

I just came across this moments ago. Haven't read through it all the way but it may serve as helpful with your decision making.

There's 4 of us, I do designing, managing and funding, I have 2 guys that do soldering and assembling, and 1 accounting person.

Yeah, it's super rural. There's neighbors and whatnot, but they're far away.

Different days of course... One cold and gloomy, the other is a sunset on a nice day.

Right now the soil is wet and cold.

The rolling hills remind me a little of rural Oregon (which is beautiful).

If I was running a business, I'd like to have it out near the woods as you have described.

Okay..makes sense now. If it's one of those affordable ebay multichips I would just switch it for a few smaller ones and spread the light out

We pretty much do what we want out here. It's no man's land really. We're all a bunch of hillbillies armed to the max. No one's gonna come messin' with us out here. Good way to get BBQed.

Also, we're also pretty nice people, we'll do anything for anyone, just not trespassers and trouble causers.

Ledengin on old models...

Pro series
OSLON SSL hyper-red,
OSLON Square 450 nm deep blue
OSLON Square warm white LEDs.
Somehow I thought it wasn't 100% osram due to the diode wattage diff, so thanks for clarification...........so both clw/lg old panels where using ledengin. Wonder what clw new ss panels are using for "5w" 660nm then?

I think it's the "specifies top bins" that he is trying to get conformation on
Yeah pretty much, never seen bin#s stated anywhere on any of their units.

Is their a reason why we don't recommend LG since the release of these?.......was it always just about them pissing us off over the BS par#s and not mostly "white" power ??............I don't remember what went down anymore

Pricing/reviews seem solid on the GH site

When he said bins I perked up too...I have looked everywhere and no even mention of bins. But the chips are solid even if just mid bins. LG's are decent imo. I have tested them in person a few times. What gets me about them is, the design(very small box for 650w and the coverage it claims)...and the weight(I cant's it being the ultimate in cooling ability). And the fans blow straight don on the plants...not ideal to me.
