So do you think this 00 is from the same region...those same villagers are still making the same product to this very day?

THC (TETRAHYDROCANNABINOL) ACCUMULATION IN GLANDS OF CANNABIS (CANNABACEAE)

Paul G. Mahlberg and Eun Soo Kim, Department of Biology, Indiana University, Bloomington, IN USA; and Department of Biology, Konkuk University, Seoul, Korea
This article mention how a resin gland is attached to the stalk and how it fall naturally with a cool macro to show details.

An abscission zone develops at the base of the head where the stipe cells attach to the disc cells resulting in abscission of glands upon attaining maturity (Fig. 2, arrow).

The whole article is amazing and mandatory to anyone who work with Cannabis resin

Well, back from the cabin, happy and amazed! It will take a few days to get the photos organized but we have a ton of good information to share. We were able to do a full batch with no ice in 29 degree water and several other experiments that provided excellent information on hash and ice wax making in CO. Should be great to get some feedback from others here on how to adjust to the unusual conditions we were faced with!

Hey Guys,

I have a question, it may be dumb because I think I know the answer but here it is anyway:

I just got my frenchy style bags from boldt. 220, 160, 73 and 45.

I also have a 190 from my old bag set. My old bag set is a cheap generic version. Should I still use this before filtering as normal or just skip it and stick to all boldt bags?

I got one Frenchy bag (73) and I use it with my old cheap HVY bags. It works great. I wish I had all Frenchy bags. I need to find a job first.

Anybody know of a 420 company looking for a marketing director?

Cheers,
Mo

yeah id say use it. I've done just the 3 with bubble bags. And 5 and 6 bags. Imo using the 190, 160, makes the 120, 73, and 45 better quality. Using the 120 makes a difference in the 73 and 45 as well.

I have only used the bubble magic washer. Imo that agitates too much (no soft setting). The boldt bags washing machine or other brand may have soft enough agitation to where the other bags are not needed. Hopefully that made sense.

120u. It's full melt. Thanks frenchy. In that weed nerd ep when you said you applied your dry sieve knowledge to making water hash. That made me think. So I thought separating with all screens to remove 25u plant matter. I think made the 120u and 73 and 45u much better. I'm digging dry sift now. The 120u and 73u out of that batch are my fav.

Hey Frenchy,

This is all pre press. I am thinking that I will hand press it instead of doing the hot water bottle. Then I can just zone out on the couch. I did a little practice last night with less than a gram. Any advice or videos or links on hand pressing?

Yktink that looks amazing, great work! I just had a light leak in one of my rooms 2000 watts, all dr. whos, so they are full of tiny immature seeds. I vend too, so i need to harvest the trichome, I think i am just going to make water hash out of all of it. I have done frenchy's methods several times with dried and cured trims, I actually posted my first wash ever earlier in this thread. This time i think i will try the fresh freeze method. Is that what you did with your material vac sealed then froze? We are getting colder weather finally in the bay area so this is the perfect time to start. I was afraid to vac seal thinking a lot of the trichs would break off in the bag, I do have a vac sealer though.

Also frenchy did you vend any of subs cuvee to the bay area, would love to try it? I have some of the flowers, the pheno i got smells of chocolate, cherries, blackcurrants, really amazing stuff!

What I did... Not sure if this is the proper way or not: Dried all trims and larf buds in a brown Trader Joes bag for about 5 days. I then weighed it into 2 oz and 8 oz portions for vacuum sealing. Then placed that into the fridge not the freezer.

Frenchy recommends against freezing I have tried both ways but can't comment on the differences until after my taste test later this week. As I did two batches 1. that was dried and then frozen 2. dried and then refrigerated.... Both were made using Frenchy method plus micro-planned. I also hand mix everything very gently.

I was actually more worried about losing trich heads during the drying process then the vacuum sealing process. Once they are in the bags it is pretty easy to dump into the buckets. I am sure some got left behind in the brown bags but I did what I could.

Really nice Yktind, I do not know of any video on hand pressing.
You need to do it in a warm environment, your hand especially have to be warm and kept warm, like having your hand over a flame or in front of a heater exhaust time to time while you work.
You can stop when you have a blister, 15 minutes of serious hand pressing HURT.
Trasher I did sale some of Sub Cuvee at CCA (the 45 to 160 microns) when I did my little workshop on dry sieving as a thank you to the people who came and it was little.
On the other I will have the 70 to 160 at the Emerald Cup for everybody to try.
I have not smoked it yet.

Should I start with a small amount or just go for as much as possible keep adding it into the palm of my hand until it's all there. Would it be a similar technique to making charas? (I've watched a few charas videos and that is kind of what I followed for my practice run).

I'll be doing this while smoking hash and watching movies so I may end up pressing for over an hour, lol. Is there a limit to how long I should press? I just keep going until it feels like I'm there?
