What I did... Not sure if this is the proper way or not: Dried all trims and larf buds in a brown Trader Joes bag for about 5 days. I then weighed it into 2 oz and 8 oz portions for vacuum sealing. Then placed that into the fridge not the freezer.Yktink that looks amazing, great work! I just had a light leak in one of my rooms 2000 watts, all dr. whos, so they are full of tiny immature seeds. I vend too, so i need to harvest the trichome, I think i am just going to make water hash out of all of it. I have done frenchy's methods several times with dried and cured trims, I actually posted my first wash ever earlier in this thread. This time i think i will try the fresh freeze method. Is that what you did with your material vac sealed then froze? We are getting colder weather finally in the bay area so this is the perfect time to start. I was afraid to vac seal thinking a lot of the trichs would break off in the bag, I do have a vac sealer though.
Also frenchy did you vend any of subs cuvee to the bay area, would love to try it? I have some of the flowers, the pheno i got smells of chocolate, cherries, blackcurrants, really amazing stuff!
Should I start with a small amount or just go for as much as possible keep adding it into the palm of my hand until it's all there. Would it be a similar technique to making charas? (I've watched a few charas videos and that is kind of what I followed for my practice run).Really nice Yktind, I do not know of any video on hand pressing.
You need to do it in a warm environment, your hand especially have to be warm and kept warm, like having your hand over a flame or in front of a heater exhaust time to time while you work.
You can stop when you have a blister, 15 minutes of serious hand pressing HURT.
Trasher I did sale some of Sub Cuvee at CCA (the 45 to 160 microns) when I did my little workshop on dry sieving as a thank you to the people who came and it was little.
On the other I will have the 70 to 160 at the Emerald Cup for everybody to try.
I have not smoked it yet.
