Major Myths That Destroy the Black Community

I don't know about license requirements in your area, nor do I really care, but to show a federal tax form as proof that your locality doesn't require licenses is either the height of stupidity or dishonesty, which one do you pick?

I hate Buck.

But.

MED requires a license to open the business, not claim profit from it.

I claim monies from self employment every year. No business license required

You just claim what you make. Yea I guess you could lie. I guess its a good idea to keep all records in case of an audit.

You use the form buck is showing for self earned, even cash. But you better be able to prove it.
Now sometimes I sub contract and I get a 1099 on it.

If jahbruddah was banned again it would make this forum a better place. He starts arguments and I have yet to find him actually show any evidence. He keeps goin on about people pulling shit out of their ass but when asked to present evidence he disappears or starts talking shit lol.

You are required by your locality to have a license to do business not claim the earnings.
If you did not have the license that might get you a fine or something. The IRS doesn't require a business license to claim profit.

That is true but that's state and federal taxes, not licensing.
Business licenses are required from local jurisdictions like city, county and state.
A complete different argument from income taxes.
Well, whats the argument? You told buck that it is the law to have a business license to be self employed.
It may be a local requirement to have a business license to have a business.
You can be self employed and receive 1099's.
You can make cash and claim miscellaneous earnings.
There is more than one way to skin a cat.

And you do not need a business license to be self employed. There is always a job that doesn't require you to be licensed to do.

Isn't it mostly local dependent? In some areas you can't legally sell lemonade on the sidewalk without a license.

I don't know the requirements where he lives, I was just mocking the FEDERAL tax form as proof that you don't need a LOCAL license.

Can't believe you (or anyone) defended that.

Federal trumps state. For my reference I meant generally around the US you do not need a business license.
It's almost arguing about 2 different things.

The thing is, we need to make the distinction between being self employed and owning a business.
When you own a business you are self employed.
When your self employed you don't have to own a business.

I worked for **** as a self employed contractor. I carried my own insurance and workers comp.
The Shop I worked out of was responsible for the business license not me.

I too do contract work, that's not the argument.

The argument was whether a federal tax form was proof that you did or did not need a local business license.

Surely you are not saying it proves this are you?

actually the argument started with "you do not need a business license to be self-employed."
In which case UB is right

So you are in agreement that the federal tax form is proof of this?

All of the other stuff I wasn't in on. I'm mocking his "proof" and I'll gladly mock you too if you defend it as such.

How's your dignity today? Got a truthful answer in ya? Is a federal tax form proof that a local business license is not needed?

I'm in agreement with the original argument. Please pay attention and stop looking for reasons to be a bitch.

My one and only argument was that a federal income tax form has no proof of a local business license requirement.

In your lust to defend the indefensible you turned it into me being the bitch.

You wonder why people here think you lack integrity....

I also noticed you sidestepped that question. No surprise there. If you wanted to talk about something else, you should have quoted someone else who wasn't talking about one specific thing, that you avoided.

NO one said a tax return form is proof of not needing a business license.

Buck said.
You do not need a business license to file taxes on money earned. You don't.

you do not need a business license to be self-employed.

you'd know this, but your only experience in being self-employed is pretending to have a contracting business on the internet while you worked customer service for the building supplies company sessemo.
Read the first line "you do not need a business license to be self employed."

And you don't.
