its a 25 year old family strain, never had it tested... not that anywhere up here tests.... but its a creep-up and knock you on your ass strain! Which hints to me its high in CBDs

Looks nice Frozen, but I'm talking about rich CBD strains which are >5% CBD. I know there aren't any places up here to test but there are many labs down the west coast that can test vegetative matter for ratio's (IE 1:1, 1:2, 1:4, 1:20)

A close family friend (mmj patient previously using Girl Scout Cookies a very high 10-15% cbd) says that the grouch does wonders for his epilepsy... He was SPECIFICALLY told to find a high CBD strain medicine, hence the GSC.... I'm no scientist, but he tried many different strains to get his epileptic seizures under control and he says with GSC he has had 4-5 minor seizures a day that last up to about 2 minutes each (down from about 20-25 a day with pharmaceuticals)... He's been puffing on some Grouch for about a week now (about 2 grams a day) and says that this WEEK he has only had 2 seizures... he got some sunday, its now Thursday I'll share a mini case study....
Again, I haven't had my strain LAB tested, but IMHO its proof is in the pudding:
without cannabis- patient had 20-25 seizures a day
with known high cbd strain "Girl Scout Cookies"- 4-5 seizures a day every day. he's been on GSC for about 4 months now
with my suspected high CBD strain "The Grouch" - 2 seizures in about 5 days.....
Again I am NO scientist, but this seems like I have a VERY high cbd strain

Where did you get this cut of GSC? I've never encountered one that was higher than 1% CBD down in California. THC also works very well for seizures so I think you might be confused with what your friend gave you, it's a big problem in California with people advertising some random strain as "Girl Scout Cookies"

Not in Alaska but growing out this strain in a search for a high CBD strain for my garden. It's Harlequin BX4 from BC Bud Depot, supposed to be tested at 7-12% of each (THC/CBD), TBD. I'm about 3 1/2 weeks into flowering, pic below is 2 weeks in. Decent amount of bud sites coming in, threw down 4 seeds, got 2 skinny/stretchy/tall phenos, 2 good short/stocky/branchy phenos that are looking good with acceptable yield potential.

Thanks, so far so good, it's been easy to grow and the short/stocky phenos have way more bud sites and solid colas building up. Had been wanting to try high CBD but we're not legal here (Canada) and it's difficult if not impossible to find verified CBD strains in the BM so I figured I'd grow some out.

Very cool, I'd read that recently. I've been waiting for us to go any form of legal growing for 30+ years, we have a slim chance if the Liberals get a majority in next year's election, they're actually making it an election platform/debate. But if they don't get a majority it will end up washed down to the point I'll stay under the radar, it's been 30 years, what's another 10-20? lol
We're breathing a bit easier up here since the vote - Feb will bring more fresh air and by 2016 the dust should be settled.
I just hope they dump the 1 oz restriction, I mean who goes to the store & is only allowed to buy 4 or 5 beers?
Pfft - I'll continue to operate under the Raven v/ Alaska rules, they are much more liberal.

Yes Ravin is an excellent precedent that should stand! Not to be a broken record here but fortunately the initiative says
"The people of the state of Alaska further declare that the provisions of this Act are not intended to diminish the right to privacy as interpreted by the Alaska Supreme Court in Ravin v. State of Alaska."
Also,
Sec. 17.38.020. Personal use of marijuana.
(b) Possessing, growing, processing, or transporting no more than six marijuana plants, with three
or fewer being mature, flowering plants, and possession of the marijuana produced by the plants on
the premises where the plants were grown;
So at least one would be protected quantity-wise with whatever they legally grow, as long a its kept "on the premises" at least.
