I got spider mites!!

Can anyone tell me what to do. I am 5 weeks in flower and i can't really spray anything on them now should i.This just gags meThanks for some advice SG

Nothing works short of pesticides that late into flowering- so its up to you whether or not you use them. Just tough it out and disinfect your grow room before the next harvest.

From my google research, spider mites DO carry diseases like Lyme. Fire does kill most bacterium, but it would be a personal decision you'd have to make.

I had some late flowering spider mites this season. I did damage control with water in a good misting spray bottle. I would spray/wash all leaves top and bottom (only leaves, not flowers) with a blast from the sprayer and run my fingers over the leaves. Starting at the top, and working down. This is really time consuming, and not completely effective, but it's safe for you, knocks most of them off and saves some of your hard work from being messed with.
After I chopped more hatched, and they started congregating at the tops of the cut branches, and I killed them all within a day. There was no detriment to my crop.

so all is not lost you could... Space them out, thin dead leaves,then spray with chilli water every second day. Be vigilant, get another fan to improve foliar movement and reduce a little humidity. Lower your environmental temp. Consider freezer curing once harvested. Get down to your nearest garden centre and get some sulfur candles read the cautions on pack only use them after harvest.

Do you know how to make caliclean? Habaneros and water, youve got to be diligent but it works and you cant taste it in flower so long as you stop a week or 2 before harvestcabt be lazy tho youve got to spray like near daily for a few weeks to make sure your killing all thebew hatchlings

Mighty wash....

I have used it on flowering plants with no ill effects. They claim you can use it up untill the day of harvest (but i probably wouldnt)

I've used a product called Eight before. I think that far out from harvest it would be ok. I know it knocks any pest dead. Just a suggestion for you to look into.

As far as smoking the little bastards go, as I understand it the mites much prefer the leaf area and tend to stay out of the actual bud itself as the terrain there gets too sticky for them as they get near them. If this is not correct I'm sure someone will chime in and say so

Azamax in a spray bottle. I have done this before three days before harvest. add a little soap.

I've had mites late in bloom a few times and have always found Azatrol to eliminate them with a single treatment. 1 tablespoon per litre distilled water. Didn't affect the flavor or aroma of the flowers whatsoever upon dry and cure.

Mites love high temps and low RH, your best bet is to watch those and keep the area clean, also change clothing before entering flower area as you or your pets are the most likley culprits.
I take prevention steps and never get them. (While few friends do)
Neem oil is the shit in veg and before flowers show,
Heavy folier feeding top and bottom of leaves with plain water every night 5 mins before lights out is not only enjoyed by the plant but mites cant stand it, again they thrive in HOT DRY locations,

I use blue Dawn dish liquid to wipe them out
completely. It's 100% safe for your plants
including the buds. No ill effects at all.
2-3 drops is a sprayer filled with
water and your good to go! Spray lightly and
lightly keep the air moving.

Great information. I think i'll try the soak down with water and maybe the dawn detergent. I don't like the sound of smokin mites.yuuuck
