What is the nicest way you've seen a weed plant grow?

I'm a first time grower and I'm really interested in making my plant grow in a different way. I haven't seen much pics yet besides basic grow room plants and some bonsai plants. I'm just curious is anyone has pics of cool grow designs or techniques.

I was kind of thinking of using the bonsai technique but I think it would be a hit or miss growing a nice looking one or something even like this:

As a first time grower keeping it alive till the end should be accomplishment enough lol. Try not to get to artsie the first time. Good luck.

I hear what you're saying JF. I'm still on my first (and 2nd and 3rd, all 4 weeks apart) grow, I researched for months prior to starting. I chose to go with LST. Once myclones were transplanted to soil and started showing significant new growth I bent them over and took a bicycle spoke bent in a U and staked it down. This is a picture of my 3rd grow

1 clone, 6 seeds, (seeds are going to get topped and lst'd) notice the clone how her main trunk is now horizontal. After staking it down wait for a couple inches of new grow and stake it down again. Follow the rim of the pot. All the side branches will shoot up, bend those over and stake them down too. You'll creat a bush, like these 4. They started out just like the clone in the first picture.

See the 5th girl in there, that's what the other 4 looked like when they went into the flower chamber (actually they were flatter, I spent more time on their training, during the 2 week stretch I am going to have to fight to get the shape I want out of her.

Google the shit out of lst training mj plant. I think it's the beat way for a noob to get their feet wet in plant training. On 2 of mine I trimmed up all the lower branches, stripped them clean. On 1 I semi trimmed and 1 I left natural, that way I can see the effects and efficiency of my pruning. Good luck and read, read, read. Read through (google for) grow journals that match your setup and read about peoples successes and failures. That's how I learned most of what I know, then when you can't figure something out, post it up here! LST :) my plants are 18" tall and I am so hoping to push 112 g's a plant, that is little less than .5 gpw. I'd love to do better than that, point is lst is a good simple way to maximize yield.

Take everything I say, (or anyone else)!and read up, don't just take my word for it, read it, understand it.

I know, I know, enough.......
Again GOOD LUCK

Edit: I know there are guys (maybe gals too) on her that you can take their word as gold and they will not steer you wrong. It's your job to figure out who those people are, and it's still your job to do follow up reading regardless that way you can fully wrap your head around the topic at hand.

Lst training is easy.

I always do my bending and staking a few hours after I water. Personally I find this is when my plants have been most pliable.

I never bend mine even close to the point of wanting to snap. I read people saying the snap and split branches all the time and to just electrical tape them up. I think thats bulshit, but I'm new to this, also not an idiot :) ne easy on your girls and be deliberate. Look at the branches and the natural way they come off the main and figure a way to go with them. I take the main to the edge of the pot and then circle the rim and pretty much do the same for the side branches.

Once you stake them down let them grow vertical 2-3" before you stake them down again

I use bicycle spokes stuck in the dirt and to tie to the bucket I use those black clippy metal paper clips clipped to the bucket them use string ti tie the branch down.

Always use a thick string, never fishing line or anything thin that can and will cut through the branch

Sometimes you can pull out previous stakes or undo strings as you go along as a branch thickens. You'll get a feel for the ones you can remove. It will make it easy ti water with less stakes and strings.

To transplant you can cut or undo strings, leave the spokes, unless you have to make room for your hand on top of the soil ( i hold the top of the soil and flip my plant upside down when I transplant), transplant and put the strings back. Remember if you take a take out in the wrong spot, the branch will naturally want to stand up straight again. If you're in doubt, leave it.

That's all the pointers I can think of off the top of my head, I'd have to re read what I wrote to think of more. Any questions ask away, and as always GOOD LUCK!

When I learned that I could sculpt a plant by trimming, topping and FIMing I experimented a lot. I knew that topping would turn the main cola into 2 main colas and, if done correctly, a FIM job would turn one cola into 4. My best example was a plant that I topped at 2 weeks vegging then FIM'd both 2 new colas. Ended up with 8 main colas all within 1-2 inches of being the same height. Never did get that perfect again.

Good luck, BigSteve.

I love mainlining I think the end result is breath taking. It takes a more patient approach so if ur in a rush dont bother but the end result is great

I made my last one look cool! I had a main cola going up the middle but trained all the rest to grow smaller colas all around that but about 6 inch lower. Friend did not do this and got 1/4 ounce less than I did. This time I am trying super cropping, so far so good.
