LED lighting questions.

I have started my first grow. It is nothing special more so just to get my green thumb started. I am living in a situation where I can't do anything extravagant so I have just put together a little this and that.
I germinated some bag seeds i had saved for a while. I put them in a damp paper towel and zip lock yatta yatta.
When the first one had about a 3mm long tap coming out of it I planted it. The next day another one had about the same so I planted it tonight. (germination started 72 hrs ago)
I am using x2 15W 100W equivalent 1600 lumen LED lights. One is 2700k and the other is 5000k on the warm light cold light scale (not sure the official name of it)
I know these lights are not ideal but I'm kinda just screwin' around at the moment learning bit by bit. And, again I don't have the space to do much.
The question that I have is:
Do these bulbs do anything?
They seem too cheap and efficient to do what I want. I know that the light spectrum are not ideal and so many other problems with it but for the sake of learning any opinions or info would be fun to see.

The picture of the seeds was 24 hrs.

They work great. I use almost all Creebulbs in my veg cab. 5000 is fine for veg. But, you will need more, you are fine for a couple weeks. And you will need something taller to grow in the whole way through.

Mostly I went with these because I do not have the room or energy to cool them.
In a month or so I will be getting the room to be able to do what I want which I am excited for.
I will take a look and see what I can find. Thank you for your advice.
Do the LED lights not put out enough of the right light?
I guess what I am trying to ask is, is there something wrong with the LED lights or are they just not as good as others?

It depends on the brand of the bulbs. Home Depot sells some Cree A19 and BR30 bulbs that can be used exclusively for growing. I use them to supplement an 85w UFO. I documented a lot of what I learned about them from other threads, mounting and power distribution options, etc., here. (<<link).

White LEDs used to produce poor quality white light. That's primarily why LEDs grow lights were red/blue. Now that white LEDs produce better spectrum, you see grow lights predominately white. It's hard to know which household "bulbs" produce useful spectrum because it depends on the LED chip used inside the bulb. The brand would give you some idea.

Haha I bought great value ones straight from wal mart.
They were the highest wattage and lumins.
Not sure exactly how well they are working because i have not previous experience.

These lights on AliExpress (<<link) sound like they may be better than the A19/BR30 I talked about there. They're definitely less expensive (but, no 10-year warranty honored by Home Depot.). It's being discussed here. (<<link). A little something here, too. (<<link).

Eventually I'll update that journal with info about these if they turn out to be similarly good.

Links, not kinks. Guess my keyboard thought I was on another forum. Doh, and I thought I was in a different thread...sadly I'm sober, just sleep deprived. Cleaning up for job hunting sucks

Those aliexpress lights look interesting. Put them on pigtails and dangle then in the plants.
