...yea so starting around 24" and dropping down to 12" should do pretty good. As long as it can pass the hand test..to the chart that every grower has used since .....

I wouldn't push through a hood (and I don't), I'd locate my fan at the end of the run or with a small low back pressure exhaust. Anyway that's what I do.They are 500cfm fans and I got speed controllers all in a 5x5 tent.
I'm gonna add 1 more dimmable 600 on the next grow and dim accordingly.
The tent has a flaps you can open on them and I was just gonna open a flap and have the exhaust suck in new air through it via a window that will be open in the room.
So:
Window-flap-scrubber-fan-light-tent-ceiling
Tent fires scare me..

With that hood you won't have any heat issues get ya a lil 4" inline fan and either pull air from a cooler room or just pull air in and exhaust I have too 600 hooked up to a 6" inline and I can lay my hand on my cool tube

Yea I already got a 6" 500 cfm fan+carbon filter. I also got a speed controller.

Right now the fan is only for the dirty air I need to get rid of that the plants create. The speed controller is gonna be set kinda low.
In the summer when it's really hot I'm gonna have that thing cranked up.
IT would be nice to not have to introduce an AC system in the summer time. Hopefully the bulb is cool enough for that.

with a cool tube i have mine about 10-15 cm away from the plants i like a heavy dense bud and with bud xl u could kill som1 with the buds i push out

Nice, I got my own super soil cooking to get those fat colas. I'm only gonna use it in Flower cycle because it's really rich.

i run 2 600w hps with cool tubes on 6 plants they both sit about 10-15 cm away from the plant they hammer

Nice man, I'm gonna grab another 600 and run 2 of them in my 5x5 tent.
2 600's is more efficiency than 1 1000. I like that about them. Just add another one.

Yea with a square space you really have no choice at 5x5 then to have two lights and 600s would be better in that space then one 1000 if you really dail it in after your strech have your plants about 3 1/2 to 4 feet and your penetration with those will kick ass , I made the mistake of vegging to long and my plants are sitting at 6 and 61/2 to top of colas , so my mid canopey is going to suffer dense wise but ya live and learn

Yea I'm gonna top, but only one time. I'm still a novice so to use LST might be dangerous, but I'm gonna smack the plants around and kinda get em a little bit.
I am thinking about throwing a SCROG up, or even two of them.

scrog is pretty cool i have few friends that do it i use to but these dayz i like to get my pots out and move them around and play with the plants bit more back in my coco dwc days when i dident have to move any thing just rez fill was perfect
