What can i give my clones? they look hungry. (first time cloner)

Well, i figured this was the appropriate area for these kind of questions lol!! So as the thread title states, i am new to cloning, and as some know by now, nervous. So these are my clones i took off a plant 2 weeks into flower. These are on day 12. They appear to be doing "good" , however a few are starting to droop. I have been pretty good at keeping the soil moist, as they have only been in soil for about 5 days. They were showing roots at 5 days, but i kept them in the dome for 7 just for the hell of it. 1 time a day i mist it with Olivia's Cloning solution, but it says on the bottle to do this until it starts to show roots. So for the passed few days i stopped doing it, and have just been giving it RO water mists like 10 times a day, keeping the soil moist, but not drenched.

1st question - Is this the time where i can utilize my Rapid Roots i spent 30 bucks on? (if so, recommend me a decent dosage for foliage spraying, assuming thats all i should be doing until they go into 1 gallon pots)

2nd - should i be supplementing cal-mag into my RO water while they are in a buffer soil, because i am a super soil user, and at roughly day 30, ill put them into the 1 gallon pots that will have the amendments.

So many questions, so little time. Lol. Thanks in advance!

Make sure they rooted and layoff the water and see how they do.
if they look ok then add small dose of nutes 1/4 of usual dose

I use plugs, not dirt... so your mileage may vary...

But I water the plugs really well when I stick the clones in there, and then I let 'em slowly dry out over the next 2 weeks. I won't let them completely dry out... I will take them out when they start shrinking a little and mist the outside lightly to moisten them back up, but I don't just water them either.

I make my clones prove to me they want to live :fire: I still hover around a 90+% root rate also.

Your leaves are taking up most of the water for your plant until your clones root. So the medium doesn't need to be drowned in water every day. Your plants aren't really using the water in the dirt anyways.

Well i currently have 2 spray bottles. 1 with olivias solution and 1 with plain ro water. I can now mix the "solution" bottle with the Rapid root instead? It seems to me like olivias is just a dampered down version of rapidroot. Will post analysis.

I would go with what a few people have already told you.

Quit messing with them and be patient :)

Give them another week or so and check for root activity. If one of the cuttings still isn't throwing roots... re-snip the stem, re-dip in root juice, and give it another shot. Patience grasshopper... patience.

Yea i had them in root riots for 7 days, showed me crazy roots and the root riots were drying out fast (even with misting multiple times a day), so i moved them into cups with Roots Organic base. Currently on day 12. But i will keep that in my head that the roots aren't hardly there for the soil to need water, (common sense, not so common to me yet )

So you have already rooted these things and transplanted them? I don't see any plugs in your cups, but that doesn't mean you didn't back fill them.

If they were already showing roots, just let them be. Re-vegging a cutting that was taken from flower can take up to two weeks *after* rooting to start showing new growth.

Oh, and quit spending $30 for root juice. I use the $7 powder you get at Home Depot and I might... might... lose 1 out of 10. Might.

I've also rooted clones with no root juice at all. Just takes longer and sometimes you have to re-snip them a few times.

haha, i am! Just taking precaution is all. and its been 12 days and they are surprisingly strong, not sure if the olivia's solution had anything to do with that. But like i said, on day 5, every single plug had 5-15 roots sticking out, 5 being the least...day 7 they were dangling to the bottom tray.

If they already had that many roots, then you are just waiting for them to start putting on new growth. It won't be long.

Edit: Oh, but also, if they already have that kind of root structure, you are good to start giving them small amount of nutes. They are going to need it if your soil doesn't have some already in it.

Start out 1/4 to 1/3 strength for the first feeding.

Well Rapid Rooter isnt really meant for babies, its meant for the vegging stage, nute teas, ect. Olivias root was like 10 bucks, and will literally last for like 4 years. As for the Rapid rooter, its mainly going into tea, so that will last a long time too. I was just unclear when i can start using it on them is all, but i will look into your method as well. Im all about learning new things!

Go ahead and give 'em a diluted feeding with your tea. They'll love ya for it.

Day 18 and they are starting to show new growth, at what point can i take them out of the incubator and transplant into my 1 gallon pots? And im not entirely sure if the initial 1 gallon pots are supposed to have the 1/3 super soil 2/3 buffer mix....
